Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

"Oh, um. Yeah. You know how you stab people to torture them? Well, if you stab them with an Asmodean Torture Stick, it'll heal the stabbing, so you can stab them more."

Baconling Rogue(VO) 5 HP45/45 AC20/20/15 (Uncanny dodge) Init:+5 Perception:+17 (+20 for traps) Disable:+14(+17 traps) Lowlight/Darkvision(sunblind), Fort:+4Ref+9Will+2(Plant immunites, Electricity immunity)

Tofutee looks toward the liquid woman with a slowly raising eyebrow "Well, healing would be good so long as the torture part isn't required for the stick to work. Seems counter intuitive to make something that heals people but only after they've been tortured." Tofutee totals up the various thing in her head and nods " Dunno the cost on one of those but I'm gonna guess its close to the basic flesh repairing wand they sell, so 750. That being the case we have 671 in vouchers remaining if no one wants anything else. so we need 79 gold. Split up by five that's fifteen gold and eight silver from each of us. Or I'll pay the remainder if you all are ok with me holding onto the wand when it isn't needed. I need an item to practice magic use with and a healing wand sounds like something we'd end up using a lot."

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

"Well. I could... also... pay the remainder? I mean, I did take that voucher from Our Dark Lady, that says each time I heal someone, I get to mark it on a card, and when I finish marking off all the slots, I get to claim a neat prize." She pulls a card out of... herself. And holds it out to the others. It looks like a giant bingo card... made up of incredibly tiny boxes... a twenty-five by forty grid. "Oh, and if I hurt something, two of the boxes magically refill..."

Tofutee looks in slight confusion "I'm not about to complain about paying less money, though if you are all about healing I find it a bit weird you don't already have a heal-y stick. Far be it from me to block your path to goodies though, wonder if they have anything that I would find worthwhile."
She examines the bingo card for a few moments before humming in thought.
"Also have you considered that your bingo card doesn't say where or what type of damage you heal? Bar fights, Hospitals and... well using the torture stick for what it was designed could knock those numbers out quick." The pale woman states as she itches her left hand, looking somewhat embarrassed for her suggestions "Just sayin' that is.."

Coughing she changes the subject. "Anyway, with that ironed out I'm quite fine with splitting the cost on the 'stick' and moving on from here. Can let the wizards do their thing, I go get some lunch and we meet back up at the entrance in... She looks to the arcanists of the group and shrugs " An hour enough for you?"

Male Dark Contemplative Wizard (shadow illusionist) 4

"An hour will suffice for the initial procedures. I will need more time if you want me to make more scrolls. I could do that when we pause, of course."

When the Asmodian torture stick is brought up, Bud starts digging through is pack and pulls out a stick that kinda looks like bone and says to Misty, "They look like this. Awful handy things to have, and no you don't HAVE to torture someone first to use it, but it can be more fun that way. You do have to give them a minute for all the healing to get done though.

Breakfast does sound good. I haven't eaten in forever. I'll transcribe my stuff as quick as I can and join you if I have time. I'm dying for some nice crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. OH and some potatoes in little pieces, wrecked and smothered."

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

I laughed at the idea of us torturing the next person we run into to get 500 healing out of each wand and -immediately- max out my feat. XD

Bud has a delightful meal at the Shady Dragon Inn. Unfortunately it is served by a poorly wrapped female mummy, with far too much flesh still stressing the bandages in all the wrong places. Her face is hidden, but her long straight, silky black hair is unwrapped. She is one of the undead, one of the usual employees of the many businesses of Du'Orbna. While he is repealed by the “creepy” factor of the Tavern Wench, he does not make a scene, as the food is honestly the best he’s ever had.

The others take a rest, while a scroll is copied into a spell book, and then everyone meets at the Shady Dragon and then they all walk together, feeling quiet confident in the future success, toward the Dungeon.

Day 6, turn 101, approximate time of day 4:40 pm

You stand at the top of the stairs, and once again quickly take stock of your gear and the surroundings. You decide on a marching order and head down into the dungeon once again. Is there an Encounter Waiting for you?

" I think she liked you, ya old fart, she kept waving her hair in your face and im certain i saw her looking at you across the restaurant." tofutee states in a teasing voice to the beer pickled wizard.
Lunch had been good, she'd had one of the high stacked wolf spid-alo burger and they even listened when she had asked for no toothpick to hold it up. Some of her co-minions had even had the courtesy of not staring when her lower lip down to her collar bone unzipped into a tooth studded maw as she devoured the burger whole.
She'd been really hungry, it had been really good.
And now to make off with a bumpercrop of loot, maybe even find some adventurers to remove and or devour. Depends on when we find them i guess.
She breaks from her thoughts and nods "So are we ready to go?"

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

Misty simply held the food for a moment... before it slipped into her body... floating oddly, as the carbonation seemed to slowly rip it apart. The whole thing made one wonder how related she was to a gelatinous cube...

But I will say that is the best bacon, eggs and hash browns I've ever had. Back to killing, I mean finding the adventurers."

Larg simply sat down and asked the waitress for "all of your lettuce and carrots in a bowl". The resulting scene was not unlike watching a lion tear through gazelle, but somehow with more carnage.

When done he simply pushed the bowl away, burped and headed for the dungeon.

"hey Horns, so feel free to correct this observation but we went to a restaurant with greasy food slathered in some form of fat and you chose to eat a bushel of lettuce. You vegetarian by choice or do minotaurs just not eat meat normally? Because the books of bard tales that I definitely didn't pinch off a dead adventurer some time ago kinda pins you all as maneating terrors ten feet tall and impossible to escape from. Also that thing about human women but im absolutely sure thats wrong as well. " tofutee asks, seeming genuinely perplexed by the idea that something wouldn't cosume meat when such was available. Then she continued babbling before discovering a fair place to stop. She shrugs
You do t have to answer if you don't want to... the pale woman sighs and nervously loots at the rest of the group " uhh.. anyway are we gonna head back he same path we took?"

Male Dark Contemplative Wizard (shadow illusionist) 4

Praink orders a steak. Once it arrives, he incants a spell, and his knife leaps into the steak, sawing back and forth. Once it has been rendered into bite-sized chunks in an orderly fashion, he begin to eat. The bites float up to his mouth one by one.

"Or we find death. I don't suppose anyone could track the adventurers to see where they went? We are after their stuff, I mean them after all.", Bud says still visibly shaken at the thought of the mummy being interested in him.

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

"They went through days ago, so we can't really track them as normal. Not unless we find a really muddy spot. Speaking of which, if anyone has dirt, I can make some mud. You know, so there are tracks. If the adventurers walk through it. That's always fun, right? We shoulda got a buffalo. They can smell and stuff."

Baconling Rogue(VO) 5 HP45/45 AC20/20/15 (Uncanny dodge) Init:+5 Perception:+17 (+20 for traps) Disable:+14(+17 traps) Lowlight/Darkvision(sunblind), Fort:+4Ref+9Will+2(Plant immunites, Electricity immunity)

"Pretty sure buffalo only well smell rather than being able to smell. And the way I see it we just have to head deeper into the dungeon and look for the adventurers path of destruction. What with the dungeon having a habit of moving around I don't think we could really rely on any strategy to find them, ask the less starkly murderous monsters for directs perhaps. Tofutee states looking at the two, she then examines the mini-taurs left horn. "Deeper we go the more chance we have of finding some magic doodad to point the way to them as well. And chances of death, but I think we can handle that."
Tofutee states as she starts walking into the dungeon
"But only vegetables? No meat?"
The pale creature questions, voice still unbelieving.

I'm still voting for the path we just came from. Might save our overworked icy GM from having to redo the map again.

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

"Once we reach the split, we could totally go north. Then I don't really care about north or east. Oh, and I'm just calling the 'up' direction on our map north. I don't really care about real north."

"Trying to apply actual direction would be a lot more work. I'd still say that the 'south' path at the split would give us a better shot at finding the adventurers. Plus better loot."

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

"That works, too." Misty nodded. "If the designated trap-soaker would move back to the front?"

Day 6, turn 102, approximate time of day 4:50 pm

Following Misty’s well detailed map the party makes their way north(?) and then through the large chamber, off to the west through the four way intersection, then south down the steep slope and finally into the small chamber of the Fourth Dungeon level

There is an exit, to the east, and it is a Passageway, ten feet wide, extending into the darkness…

Day 6, turn 105, approximate time of day 5:20

Advancing stealthily, Tofutee sets out toward the east, and follows the dark passageway for ninety feet, finding nothing of inter…

Wait, what’s that on the floor?

Oh never mind, it’s just someone’s left over It’Dupree Java Tree 20 ounce paper cup. And it still has some guava spice latte left in it.

Moving forward the group discovers a turn to the left, to the north, and it descends at a steep angle once again until the group now finds themselves standing in a thirty foot long passageway, going north, on the sixth dungeon level…

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

Misty scoops up the cup. "No good lousy litterers are worse than humans with their subsidized corn syrup crops..."

Baconling Rogue(VO) 5 HP45/45 AC20/20/15 (Uncanny dodge) Init:+5 Perception:+17 (+20 for traps) Disable:+14(+17 traps) Lowlight/Darkvision(sunblind), Fort:+4Ref+9Will+2(Plant immunites, Electricity immunity)

I can agree with that one, quality water is getting harder to come by now. Hard to keep the bigger beasties hydrated. Tofutee glances to the rest of her group and signals a halt.
"So that last little bit was a fairly significant descent, I'd say check the next sixty feet of the path for anything decent and get back up, try another path. Traps get mucho deadly the deeper down here you go and I've seen the results of some of them, We'd likely be better served trying another path."

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

"It definitely couldn't hurt to -look-. Might hurt to fall into a pit trap and... become custard at the bottom."

"Who knows, could be another treasure room." tofutee states as she starts moving toward the tunnel. She looks bac to the rest of the group and shrugs "Might want to give me another five feet though, just in case." She reaches into her pack and pulls out a rather ugly looking set of goggles, on donning them her eyes loom huge in their reflection.

Day 6, turn 106, approximate time of day 5:30 (turn 4 of 6)

Upon reaching the bottom of the slopping turn that leads down to the sixth level, Tofutee warns the group of the possible dangers and then carefully creeps forward.

Ten feet to the north a section of the floor opens under Tofutee’s feet revealing a deep, deep, pit .

The Section of floor is ten feet wide, filling the width of the Passageway and extends to include the five feet of passageway in front of her, making a hole in the Passageway that will be difficult to get by.

Will Tofutee leap out of the danger zone?

Tofutee gets a Reflex Save, to avoid falling into the pit. The DC is 20. If she succeeds she must roll a d6, on a 1-3 she ends up on the other side of the pit from the party!

Tofutee yelps in surprise as the floor yawns below her, with a scrambling skitter she half scrambles half swims to the relative safety of the other side.
Panting slightly she looks back at the rest of the group and nods to the floor. Super dangerous traps, like that... She states as she reaches into her pack pulling out a marble. Pushing it off the edge of the pit listening for the sound it makes.
"Crap that is a deep hole." she states with fear tainting her voice slightly.

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

Hilariously, you can watch the pebble drop until -just- before it lands... Or maybe even until it does!

True, unless I want to be in the hole it would be ending at 60. Also case in point on size perspective Tofutee is a small creature and just a little bit over 3-ish ft tall. a 70ft fall is one heck of a drop for a creature of that size.

Male Undead Arcanist 7 | AC 16 T 12 FF 14 | HP 79/79 | F +7 R +4 W +5 | Init +2 | Perc +7

Bah, distractions preventing me from editing.

Tofutee puts her buckler back on and blinks pulling the goggles up onto her brow. "those things are useful but they give me a headache.
So I'd like to avoid possibly falling into a pit that deep again, any arguments to going back and taking the 'north' pass we skipped earlier?
Or do you guys want to try another door in the first area?"

tofutee inquires as she edges further from the doom pit and ignores the ominous Latin chanting she can almost hear coming from it.

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

"North is good." Misty nods, peering over the edge of the chasm. You can tell she's trying to figure out how long it would take her to fill the hole just by looking at her.

the path to the north splits once you reach the crossroads we had. the northern passage becomes 2 hallways, one turning to the west and one staying north. Tofutee is assuming that 'Horns' knew that part.

Day 6, turn 111, approximate time of day 6:20 (turn 4 of 6)

After a good rest the party of monsters looks to the north from the four way intersection, and with nods all around, Tofutee sets out ahead of everyone at a slow pace, watching for danger. The party walks slowly north for several dozen yards, until a turn to the east takes them down a slope to the next Dungeon level, Level 2. A short section of passageway then ends in three different Doors.

Okay I think I got this right, but I’m going to check the clock. It took four turns to get to where the doors are. One turn rolled by Praink, and three rolled by Tofutee. In the future I’d limit your rolls to one turn each, so everyone gets a chance to roll. If you roll something that requires further explanation, as in the Doors that Tofutee found, you can follow through with that until you are done.

Which Door will you examine?

Female Dew Elemental Cleric 4

"I vote the metal one on the left. It makes me think of castles. So it's probably got something neat behind it. I've always wondered if I could fit through a metal portcullis. Well. While it's down, that is. You know, I've just realized, in the entire place, we haven't found a -single- key. Not that we've spent much time in here. But are there no locked anythings? That'd probably help with the adventurer problem."

Male Undead Arcanist 7 | AC 16 T 12 FF 14 | HP 79/79 | F +7 R +4 W +5 | Init +2 | Perc +7

"Maybe they all are locked and the boss is the only one with the keys.

As for which door I say we should pick either right or left and keep going that way when we can. It doesn't matter which to me so, left works."

Bud looks please with himself and waits for the trap target spotter to do her thing as she ultimately decides which door we open.

"It doesn't look trapped to me, but it does look like it wants to stay in the ground. I'm not sure even you could easily lift this thing Horns. The bacon scented female states as she prods at the portcullis.
"I could set up a pulley to help lift though, that could make it easier and give the rest of us space to help you lift if you can't move it yourself. I'd also ask if you could keep it in place for a few moments so I can try and stick it in the upright position, I don't like the idea of this thing dropping behind us and needing to lift it back up before we can escape whatever horrible monster is behind it.

Block/Tackle can add a +5 to lifting heavy things, Tofutee has rope and it can be secured by a steel spike hammered into a wall. Would mean if Larg can't lift it on his own we can all us that and aid another checks to help him pull the thing up.
