She gets down on the floor to start looking through them and pulls out a box to look at it more closely, "This one seems to have lots of pieces in it and some strange kind of picture made up of different colors." She says turning the box this way and that as she tries to make out what it is.

"That's a puzzle," Caliban says, looking over both their shoulders. "You put the pieces together to make the picture on top of the box."

She looks up at him, "Why? Does it do something after you put it together?"

"No," Caliban answers.

"Is it fun?"

"Depends on how bored you are."

She sighs, "Well...what would be fun? I don't know anything about games....not these kinds of games anyways."

"I usually read books when I was younger. Maybe Betty could suggest one?"

Looking up at Ruedo from the floor she blushes a bit darkly, "I don't really....I don't read that well. It's just...I never really...I wasn't considered important enough to spend the money on to teach anything. I guess they didn't think it was important? But...but I wouldn't mind you reading to me....if there was something interesting to read."

"I'm sure there's one here in the library that you might like," Ruedo says, perusing the shelves for any sort of fantasy tales.

Leaving the now exhausted Fiona lying asleep in the bed, Ravanalonna goes to the door with a sheet wrapped around her.

Reudo came across a book called, The Hunter, The Nymph, and The Basilisk. And other assorted fantastic poems.

Opening the door, the Sorceress found Cyrus standing there.

Ruedo looks at Betty. "May I take this back to our room?"

"Yes Sir." Betty answered.

Ruedo turns to Eri. "Want to go back to our room so I can read to you?"

Getting up off the floor she nods as she dusts herself off, "Sure....I think that would be nice." She says as She takes his hand in hers.

Ruedo leads the way back to their room and, once Eri is situated on the bed, he opens the book and starts reading to her.

She pauses him for a moment, "I think I want a snack. Betty....are there any milk and cookies that you could bring me...please?"

With a curtsy, Betty was off like a shot.

"You look like you've been having fun." Cyrus comments.

She snuggles up to Ruedo as she waits patiently for her milk and cookies, "Okay...you can keep reading now. So...a nymph is a what?"

"A fairy that appears human, but extremely beautiful," Ruedo answers. "Not as beautiful as you."

Caliban inserts a ghostly finger in his mouth. "Please, stop being such a sap, Ruedo. It's turning my stomach."

Eri sticks her tongue out at Caliban, "You hush now....you're sweet but don't start getting annoying. That fairy thing sounds like a vile creature." She laughs as she makes a face at Caliban, "Don't mind him sweets...just keep reading me the story and telling me how beautiful I am." She says as she giggles slightly.

Ruedo smiles and continues reading.

"We have a few days before we get called to whatever task the Cardinal and his per b!+<# have for us, so why not? Ready to go have some fun yourself?" Ravanalonna asks.

Awe Ravan....don't worry. One of these days she'll get what's coming to her.

Eri continues to snuggle up against Ruedo as he reads to her while resting her head on his shoulder.

Ruedo continues to read as they wait for milk and cookies. "Perhaps they needed to make fresh ones?"

She gets a goofy looking grin on her face before rubbing her hands together, "Oooohhhh...then they would be nice and warm and the chocolate would be all warm and gooey....oh yes...that would be just fine with me." She says before letting out a little yawn.

"Just try and remember the point is to gather information on our host and his other guests, not to have fun." Cyrus replies not wanting to delve deeper into her personal issues with the Cardinals errand girl.

As if on queue, there came a knock on their door.

"I simply plan on playing my role as believably as possible." Ravanalonna says with a smile freshening up with but a wave of her hand and donning Fiona's servant dress. "They happen to lack the ability to say no"

Just a fair warning Ravan, Fiona's dress doesn't hide the brand.

The Pirate and Sorceress make their way to the door indicated by Elise's note.

Well Then there's no point to this is there?

Well, there's always the chance Cyrus could bluff his way into explaining it.

Couldn't you use your magic to hide it or something?

In theory silent image would work, but I don't have that spell.

Before leaving.

"You're going to need to cover the brand with a bandage or something." Cyrus says once the sorceress is dressed.

Do we have easy access to bandages?

Yes you do. Though you may need to ask a servant where they're at.

I'm wondering why Ravan couldn't just use her.....charms to convince Elise...or whatever her name is, of a believable story? I would go with the bandage thing as well though...but even though her resistance might be a little higher, it might be worth a shot to try and charm her....wouldn't it?

if you fail a charm attempt they're immediately hostile. Same thing after charm wears off. Right now I get 2 hours. If we have to work with them later it'll be a problem

Ohhh....I didn't know that. I don't know about mind effecting magic soooo it's okay. I was just wondering.

Usually the people I charm will be dead by the end of the day and it doesn't matter.

Waking Fiona, Ravanalonna instructs her to get her bandages to cover the brand. "You'll have to come up with a good story as to why I needed a bandage. Perhaps you got a little 'rough'," she says to Cyrus. "If things go the wrong kind of south, I'll try to hit her mind to give you time to take her out."

"I don't think that will be necessary." Cyrus says carefully. "But if someone threatens you then by all means do what you need to." He finishes before giving a light knock on the appropriate door.

The door opens and there stood Elise, completely undressed and seductively leaning on the door. "You brought a playmate. I was hoping you would." Looking at Ravan, "Come in dear, and leave your clothes at the door."

Am I still getting cookies and milk?

There was the knock at your door that you didn't answer.

Ravan immediately sheds her dress and walks into the room obediently, her more than ample curves on full display.
