GM Tektite |
Jules readies herself and waits to see what happens.
Chandler enchants his quiver and readies for trouble.
Torsk also readies for trouble, casting a spell of shielding.
The party hears a low whistle come form the fog, then a grunt as a halfing with a handlebar mustache comes hurtling out of the cloud, bellowing! He heads straight for Braxton!
Charge Attack vs Braxton FF: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 20
Damage: 1d10 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7
The halfling leaps in the air and brings his greataxe down, nearly cleaving off Braxton's arm!
The party hears some chanting and sees the form of the other man creep otu of the fog a bit.
Braxton!
Braxton Keel |
Surprised and heavily wounded by the halfling, Braxton lashes back with shield and sap.
Shield Bash: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Sap: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Sap Non-lethal damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Intimidate from Enforcer: 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 4 = 14 (bonus from being larger size than target)
I guess when you take a massive cut from a greataxe and respond with a dink from a sap, you just aren't that scary. Still might be enough though.
GM Tektite |
Turk brought up a good point to me. The halfling couldn't have charge out of the fog, as he did not have line of sight. Unfortunately, he still would have hit Braxton's FF AC.
Braxton reels from the halfling's blow, then returns the attack, hitting the halfling with his sap and shaking up the little man a little bit!
A woman in the fog cackles madly and you hear movement, but see nothing.

Jules Stonecutter |
Jules attempts to flip pass this creature to attack from behind.
acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
rapier: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
damage: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + (5) = 10<<sneak attack 1d6
Still dizy from the flip Jules misses badly
Torsk |
the "small Jules is where she started, if she failed her acrobatics check please move her back there, otherwise I took the liberty to move her to her new spot
Torsk, will assess the situation, wondering what is going on in the mist
but understands that going in blind could be a very bad idea. He chants some arcane words, and points his palm at the halfling. After mere seconds, the moisture in the air coalesces in his palm, and then streaks forward toward the intended target. Torsk's aim is off however, trying to correct for the small target using his his friends for cover. The ball shatters off the wall, spraying the garbage with water crystals.
ray frost vs ranged touch: 1d202 ⇒ 81d3 ⇒ 2
Turk* |
Turk cuts at the halfling with the axe, hoping to take him down. Focus fire. One at a time. he recommends.
Sword: 1d20 ⇒ 201d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Confirm: 1d20 ⇒ 11d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
He will step back to where the small Jules is if that spot is open.

[dice=ray frost vs ranged touch]1d202; 1d3
Not sure if it matters, but you rolled a d202, instead of a d20 for that attack roll. Of course, if all you got was an 8 on a d202, then your d20 probably would have missed! :)
Chandler Harrington |
Swift Action: Archaeologist's Luck
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 = 21
Chandler notices the man emerging from the fog cast a divine spell and wants to at least distract him, but he can't find a clear shot and instead helps his allies with the halfling.
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 2 - 4 = 15 Probably a miss... but at least all this soft cover isn't cumulative.
Shortbow Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Jules Stonecutter |
I believe it is my turn again.
Jules will strike at the villain again.

GM Tektite |
Not yet, Jules. But we can save those rolls, including the unconfirmed crit....
Chandler fires his bow, just managing to hit the halfling. The arrow sinks deep and the little man goes down!

If that hits, she's (presumably) shaken for 9 rounds.
Jules Stonecutter |
You are correct I forgot my acrobatics roll, sorry
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Jules makes a nice flip over Braxten's head as she moves out of the way.
Turk* |
Er, I listed 5 choices. Which are you doing? Shame to let that crit threat go to waste. But if you are attacking and then tumbling, I think you need to also roll to confirm the threat.

GM Tektite |
Braxton delays, waiting for Jules to move.
A slight breeze funnels down the alley, blowing the mist back a bit.
Once again, you hear a mad cackle from within the mist, but still cannot see the woman.
Jules attacks the woman in front of her, stabbing her, but just missing wounding her more deeply! Jules then steps back and disengages from the woman.
Braxton steps in and tries to sap the woman, but misses!
