Hey everyone, just wanted to give you a quick heads up. Game day starts on a Saturday. Anyone who's played with me knows that I post 7 days per week, and check my games multiple times per day.
That being said, the Game Day starts the day I finish a 200 mile relay race. While I only run about 20 miles of it in bursts, I'll be mostly MIA that day. So, I'll be around with my normal regularity, just not likely until that night. So, don't worry, I didn't go missing, I'm just either running or unconscious. I promise. :-)

Good luck with the run!
Thank you! I ran it last year and had a blast. This year I didn't train as hard because Life Got In The Way, but I'm still looking forward to it.
Meanwhile I'm looking at my PbP schedule, and I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but I'd be able and VERY much willing to move right into Part II after we complete this one. Fuzzfoot, you willing?
GM Fuzzfoot
Yes, as a matter of fact, I had planned to do so. I expect we can fit both into the gameday window. If we lose a few, we can recruit more, but I expect most will want to continue.

Awesome looking forward to it. Thorn will hit level 3 between them I think...

Looks like our ranks are filing in, and I recognize many of the characters, so this should go pretty smooth. I think we should have no problem getting through this and part 2 during gameday, so when you post your info, let me know if you are planning to stay for part 2, and if you have any time constraints (some may be signed up for 11/15 Siege, for instance).

Hi, guys!
And hi again, @GM Fuzzfoot!
I have a doubt: can I play this game with a pregen?
Sorry - I did not respond to this message specifically, but my response is the same as the other game. Pre-gen is fine, but just remember this is Core, so you will need to give me a Core character number when it comes time for chronicles.

This is what we have for now:
1) Bloodcove:
- a city founded by pirates and run by criminals;
- a stronghold of the Aspis Consortium.
2) House Cartahegn (in Bloodcove):
- maybe help us, because they works with the Society occasionally.
3) Senzer (the lost contact):
- a half-elf alchemist that provides potions and information to the Society;
- He had a shop along the Widow's Walk;
- he went silent a month ago;
- we must discovery what happened to him.
4) Raimondo Scevola (caravan leader):
- The Society already paid him to carry the supply to the north;
- We must find him in Bloodcove.
5) Ruthazek (the Silverback King):
- He rules the inland city of Usaro and claims the Mwangi Expanse and all its contents;
- He’s uncivilized and violent, from what we hear, unwilling to negotiate with us;
- He rules over a race of sentient ape-men, but they keep a healthy distance from Bloodcove.

Wyatt - I didn't understand your comment about not being able to buy gear and boxed text... what are you referring to? I certainly don't want anyone to feel that they are getting the short end of the stick here, so I am happy to listen to concerns or critique. I am certainly not always right!
That aside, I do think it is the right interpretation to not allow Take 10 here for a couple of reasons.
This scenario is designed to give you a feeling of sneaking around behind enemy lines. Part of that is avoiding detection, and there are some decently serious repercussions if you don't.
If we were to blow it off by using take 10, then pretty much half of the scenario is over when your start depending on the characters you choose - the fate is inevitable one way or the other. I think a bit of risk and chance are much more in line with what was intended.
Finally,
The DC for these checks is incredibly low, especially considering that you get to first choose how you want to avoid detection based on your strengths, and then you further get to choose which of 2 checks you get to use. In addition, there is no immediate negative for missing a single check. It is an accumulation system. Together, it pretty much makes Take 10 a waste of ink to print much of the scenario.
Everyone should note, you can use things to add circumstance bonuses, if you have something appropriate.

Ah, so it did. I will allow anyone to go back and make purchases prior to the voyage, as I assume you had some warning before being shipped off. Also, you can make purchases in Bloodcove, although that might expose you more. Depends on how innocuous the purchases are...

Sorry for my vanish, yesterday was holiday here in Brazil, so I traveled with my wife on the weekend and just now I'm back.

OK, so the gameday reporting page is a bit different than normal. I need email addresses for everyone (feel free to PM me these rather than post).
Also, because the name and faction don't prefill like the normal form, I need:
Sir Peter: What is the character name and faction for 113139-2?
Also need factions for Thorn and Vimar.
Thanks!
GM Fuzzfoot
Ah, ok - good to know.
>> Chronicles are posted here. <<
Please let me know if you need any adjustments.
Regarding the earlier discussion about taking 10, I have seen other GM's who have allowed it, and some who do not. Doesn't seem to be a clear answer on that one. But you will note that you have 8 awareness points on your chronicle. I believe these are relevant for part 2.
Basically, each time you moved around town, you get to come up with a cover that allows one of two skill checks. The DC across the board was 12. Not very high, and I think if we allowed take 10, there would be zero chance of failure. There were increasing penalties for failing, including an ambush - however, you never got that many points. In fact, 4 of the 8 were simply because Lura escaped (although you were getting 1 even if you killed her). You needed 5 to hit the first penalty, which was -2 to Charisma checks, but you were basically already done before getting there. Had you gotten to 20, it would have been quite bad!
In any case, you all did extremely well in part 1, so it will be interesting to see part two unfold.

OK - game is reported. I think we will still be tier 1-2 after the few I know of are done leveling. Anyone above level 2?

Thorn is 3. I don't mind being out of tier

Just to give people a bit of info, Thorn purchased a magic shortsword and a mithral chain shirt. With Dodge for my feat, he should be a little harder to hit, and in turn hit a little harder. I still don't have trapspotter yet, so don't go running ahead.
GM Fuzzfoot
Thanks, Thorn.
So, I believe we have solid average level of 2, if Kyra continues to play as 1st level. If she were to go to 4th, you would be at 2.5 and could choose to play up, although I haven't finished looking it through, so not sure if that's a good idea...

From someone who spent the first 3 seasons constantly pushing to play up.... let's not.
Though I think Kyra should still be level 4 :-)

@GM Fuzzfoot,
For the part II, I wanna apply the chronicle sheet to this PFS #: 113139-6 (Malakiah Uzamar).
Thank you! :)
