Mugmuff Darktalon |

congrats!!! just hope it's not TOO early...

Kigaar Wolftooth |

many happy returns for you!!!

Mugmuff Darktalon |

congrats on the new addition... 8lbs 10 is a good sized baby! huzzah!

GM Captain Trips |

Congrats Rob! Hope you all are able to settle into a rhythm with the new bundle of joy!
Our grandson came out a whopping 4lbs 15oz, and he was only 5 days early. It probably doesn't help that his mother is around 95lbs soaking wet, so they were destined to have a small child. I've never seen a baby that small. Very healthy and all, just tiny!

Kigaar Wolftooth |

Congratulations, and that seams a good weight for a baby. Lol I still feel bad for my mother see is 5'1 and was 95 lbs when I was born a massive 11.5 lbs....but only 2 hours of labor so there's that ^_^.

Bart Bighead |

as a game note Bart is too greedy to share his gp with Gretcha on the healing wand, but OOC I feel an obligation to share. So I'm stealing Bart's money to do it :)

![]() |

It was mostly inevitable that Gretcha's head would be eventually lopped off, so I'm not sad about it. But, I do need to start building a new goblin!
I'm thinking I have two options, and I'd like your input:
-Straight arcane caster (probably Sorcerer or perhaps Arcanist)
-Melee tank with high AC, high HP, and a goblin-sized greatsword or greataxe
Which do you think the group needs more? Also note that with Gretcha gone, Kigaar becomes our only real healer.

GM Captain Trips |

I'm sad to see the little slutpuppy go, but those are the breaks. Honestly I'm blown away its taken this long to lose a goblin to something other than attrition. I had a pretty good idea that they would come and go as they died, but your initial group held out a LOT longer than I thought, especially because no one has really over-optimized their characters to the point of being beasts.
With that said, play whatever you will have fun with. I leave it to the party to offer other suggestions.

Mugmuff Darktalon |

I agree - play what you'll have the most fun with!

Bart Bighead |

What's the optimization thing you speak of? Bart perfect the way he is!

Bart Bighead |

Luckily goblins can hide almost anywhere and seem to be almost infinite in number.

Burnclaw Stirgeater |

Gretcha had:
wand of magic missile CL3, 23 charges = 1035 gp
wand of magic missile CL1, 8 charges = 120 gp
wand of CLW, 50 charges = 750 gp
wand of CLW, 16 charges = 240 gp
scrolls (hold person [lv2], disfiguring touch [lv2], lesser restoration [lv2], symbol of mirroring [lv2], mage armor x 4 [lv1], bless [lv1], glitterdust [lv2], invisibility [lv2]) = 1025 gp
+1 light crossbow (free magic weapon at start) = 2335 gp
688gp, 61 sp, 31 cp
Total of 6193 gp plus some change and some nonmagical equipment. So, 6000 gp?

Mugmuff Darktalon |

the wand of clw with 50 chgs was paid for by several of us, so should be rated a somewhat lower... right?

Burnclaw Stirgeater |

Fair point. And I'm sure Kigaar will be looting that and continuing to use it, so we can drop that from the equation.
So more like 5000-ish.

Burnclaw Stirgeater |

Boy, I really wish the amulet of mighty fists wasn't so damn expensive! 4K is too much to spend on one at the moment for just a +1 to my attacks and damage...
Would I be able to find +1 human-defiant leather armor (total of +2 bonus)? THAT I would be willing to spend 4K on. If not (and it's probably unlikely), I'll probably hold onto most of my gold and just get armor and a ranged weapon of some sort.

Mugmuff Darktalon |

yay! lvl 5!

Burnclaw Stirgeater |

Nice! I'll get Burnclaw leveled and buy the armor (which will look like a green version of that pictured in his profile picture, because awesome) and then I'll be ready to join in!

Burnclaw Stirgeater |

Went with +1 human-defiant scalemail, flavored to look like the scales of a green dragon (though they're metal, not actual dragonhide).

Bart Bighead |

Woo! Levelings.
Hopefully will get Bart leveled up by tomorrow. Soon I will be mounted on my ferocious steed!

GM Captain Trips |

Going to handle loot in here, just to keep it simple.
Also, going forward I'm going to institute a new ruling, since life may at some point in the not too distant future take you further away from hearth and home. Life as a small creature in a game like this can be a terrible thing, and while I try to toss in loot that is useful, sometimes it just doesn't make sense. So going forward, any and all looted magical items will resize to the needs of the owner. This will help you all to employ more of the gear you find, as you are going to have a hard time dealing with merchants other than goblins. So enjoy!
Looted Items:
On the barbarian: +1 bastard sword, potion of cure light wounds, potion of cure moderate wounds, vial of acid, +1 hide armor, amulet of natural armor +1, 69gp.
On the paladin: +1 longsword, wand of cure light wounds (15 charges), holy water, +1 full plate, 94gp
On the saint: +1 warhammer, amulet of natural armor +1, +1 studded leather armor, wand of cure light wounds (50 charges), a bunch of evil scrolls that Torch burns out of pure terror - which vanish to reveal 200gp, and a note to the GM that this pre-gen has too much gear for a level 4 :)

Haha yeah that Saint pregen was written with PC level gold, not NPC level. :-P
EDIT: Could Burnclaw run up and grab one of those +1 weapons (as a backup) right now? Or do you have a specific way of introducing him in mind?

Minimaster Torch |

Torch is upgraded. I had to rebuild the Hero Lab file (it was claimed in the Great Crash of 2015) and in doing so, discovered that he never took a discovery, so I have corrected that. In other news, some skills went up, he picked up the Flame Hand feat, and he got two new formulae (monkeyfish and cat's grace).

Mugmuff Darktalon |

Mugmuff is mostly updated: +5 hp, no changes to bab or saves, skills upgraded (9 sp), upgraded to 3d6 sneak damage and one feat - 'Underfoot'... that's it - no other changes
