Davben moves forward after Nicea to strike the wailing goblin if Nicea hasn't already taken care of it. If she has downed it he'll kick the other goblin in the face.

Many actions are placed within spoilers. This is because you don't have line of sight. The reason I'm placing these is so you know I'm not cheating with enemy actions and for me and Pinvendor to coordinate with each other. As players, you are encourages not to look at spoilers for enemy actions!

• Nicea runs up and swings at the escaping Goblin but misses. It continues on its rout down the hallway.

Round 2 Begins Now

Nicea growls in frustration at the awkwardness of a reach weapon in closed quarters. "C'mon back here, ya little green bugger," she calls to the fleeing Goblin 1, dropping her hammer and drawing her scythe as she rounds the corner.

Move action to round the corner and draw the scythe, but won't know what to do until I see the map.

"Somebody grab that goblinmasher, wouldya?" she calls over her shoulder as she vanishes around the corner.

Zara moves forward, her injured feet still giving her problems. There is also the guilty thoughts in the back of her mind; 'They are protecting me with their blood, the least I can do is help them....heal them.' she moves forward ducking out of any line of fire.

Zara moves towards B8 (once Davben leaves - holding this if necessary) and Holds to Channel again)

"I'll get it," Silva says to no one in particular, walking over to pick up Nicea's hammer with a huff of effort. "Damn this thing is heavy..."

Noting the direction Nicea is moving in, Silva flicks his wrist to the side, sending the lights darting around the corner and down the hall.

Move to C-8 and grab Nicea's hammer. Not sure how far to send the lights though; as much illumination in that hall as possible, I suppose. Dancing lights - 9 rounds remaining.

Damieka moves to C11 to see what is down that hallway if anything, raising her bow and readying for a shot. If there are any goblins down that hall she will shoot at the closest one if she can see them with Silva's light globes around. If not she will follow the others.

If goblins are down the hallway from C11:

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 151d8 ⇒ 6

With a quick nod to Damieka when she downs the goblin, Davben moves following Nicea around the corner not wanting her to be lured off alone by the goblin into a trap, or ambush.

Move to the corner with Nicea, but also can't act until I see the map.

Samara remembers why she prefers her steel to her bow, and she puts the bow away, coming up behind to C7.

Round 2.5 update!

Understandably, it is hard to choose what to do when you cant see. I have lifted the fog around the corner so that you know what the hallway looks like. However, this is just the hallway. Anything that might be in the hallway is still blocked from the vision layer because you don't have line of sight (hence the shading). The round is not resolved yet. Feel free to post or alter actions as you see fit with this new information presented to you.

The round will close once Pinvendor declares his actions.

EDIT: One important thing I'd like to note is that assuming you come out of this battle with success, I'm going to ask that you all gain a level. If you have time please begin to make preparations for this so that we don't need to take any time off from gameplay. There are still more surprises ahead!

Not seeing the little nasty, Nicea continues to H5, making a double move but not finishing her 60' total of movement.

"I don't see the little monster, but we'd best not get too far from the rest of the group. Where are they, anyway?"

Round and look.

Staying nearby Nicea Davben moves to F5

"Maybe he slipped in through one of these doors, but I'd rather not go in and stumble into an ambush in the dark. I think the others are still near the stairs."

I'll use the same action I described earlier, bug move the dancing lights to H-5. Above Nicea's head? I'm pretty sure it could do that.

Tsuto Kaijitsu
Male Half-Elf 'Asshat Brother'/13 (HP: 237/???)

Same actions for Damieka except adding a nod to Davben as he notds to her.

• Nicea moves to H-5 to discover a Half-Elf and 3 Goblins inside a small office. The Half-Elf barks orders at the 3 Goblins before he notices Nicea standing in the door.

• Goblin 1 attempts to run past Nicea and out into the hallway.

• Damieka moves to look down the hallway but cant see anything through the dark. There is a light shining at the other end however, but not enough to illuminate the hallway.

Round 3 Begins Now!

Wuh-oh.

Nicea rips loose with a Taldan curse. "'Ware arrows, Davben; elf with a bow here," she calls to Davben before cutting at the goblin behind her with her scythe.

Scythe attack on H6: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Dmg if hits: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10

If that goblin drops, Nicea moves to H7.

"To the demons with it!" Damieka growls then runs down the hallway to H11 and turns to see if she can see anything at the end. She's upset that she can hear fighting and hopes that she can get the jump at anyone at the end. She will shoot at the first not friend figure she sees.

Hearing the scuffle up ahead, she jumps down from her position atop the the sacks. Almost collapsing as she hits the floor, pain shoots up her limbs and she gasps. The bandages covered in blood she knows that the others are in danger she stumbles forward into the sounds of conflict.

Before her Zara sees her friends beset by goblins, bloody but bravely fighting on. Raising her arm she tries to let the healing energies flow into them.

Move: to D5.
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 5 Selective Channel for healing, should get Nicea & everyone.

She feels the wounds in her feet heal and bind together.

Samara rushes forward, but seeing that there is a bottleneck down this hall, and not wanting to fire an arrow into an ally, slows down to a halt and just looks around dumbly to see if she can spot anything useful, valuable or otherwise noteworthy.

"Well that doesn't sound good," Silva comments with a grimace, hearing the commotion coming from the hallway. Knowing he would not be of much use in close quarters, he opts to head down direction Damieka was heading.

Double move to G-11.

Davben grumbles at the goblin that dodged around Nicea and attacked her. "Filthy beast" He moves to strike back at it with two quick attacks.

Flurry of blows: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 16 if still flanking

EDIT: It turns out that I made a mistake in resolving last round. I didn't account for Davben flanking Goblin 4 with Nicea and his attack would have actually hit. Just like the mistake I made with Zara, I'm not going to change the outcome because it involves a tremendous amount of work.

I will offer Davben 1 Free Pass on any Attack Roll, Skill Check, Save or Critical Hit confirmation in the future for my mistake.

Tsuto Kaijitsu
Male Half-Elf 'Asshat Brother'/13 (HP: 237/???)

Tsuto sneers as the warrior woman takes grievous wounds. He places another arrow in his bow and takes aim as Nicea attempts to break the wall of attackers.

"The power of my love for her will defeat you, fool!"

Arrow attack!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 Subtract 2 if Nicea doesn't move and dazed goblin is still providing partial cover.

• Nicea cuts Goblin 3 down with a fiery vengeance and moves to H-7.

• Goblin 1 is Dazed this round and unable to follow Tsuto's orders.

• Goblin 5 picks up for Goblin 1 and moves in to attack Nicea.

  Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Miss

• Silva moves to G-11

• Samara moves to C-5. She sees nothing noteworthy.

• Tsuto fires an arrow at Nicea but misses.

• Goblin 4 attacks Davben.

  Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Miss

• Zara moves forward and unleashes a wave of healing energy. Zara, Samara, Davben and Nicea each heal 5 HP. Zara's feet are also fixed and she no longer suffers movement penalties. The area shaded in white is the affected area for the spell.

• Davben strikes at Goblin 4 with a Flurry of Blows but misses with all attacks.

• Damieka shoots an arrow at Goblin 5 and hits.

Round 4 Begins Now!

"Love? You're in love with a goblin? Death will be a kindness!" Nicea growls, trying to hack her way through the goblins to get to Tsuto.

Scythe slash at goblin at H6, PA, FF: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Scythe PA dmg if hits: 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (1, 1) + 7 = 9

If the goblin drops, Nicea steps to H5 to give Davben the flank and remove the charge option from the other.

Peeking around the corner, Silva lets out a whistle when he sees the commotion down the hall. As much as he wanted to teach Tsuto a lesson, the hallway was looking awful crowded. And I have something more important to do... he decides, spotting the door in the hall.

"Don't let me get in your way," he says to Damieka as he slips past her, making his way to the door and checking to see if it is unlocked.

Move to H-9, open door, then move to I-9 if it is unlocked. Drop the coin at H-9 if I need the free hand.

Tsuto Kaijitsu
Male Half-Elf 'Asshat Brother'/13 (HP: 237/???)

Tsuto shakes in head in puzzlement. "Love a goblin? I suppose I shouldn't expect too much as you are just another stupid fighter woman."

Tapping Goblin 1 on the head, Tsuto whispers, "The funny looking lady there said your mother knows how to read."

Tsuto then tries to line up a much better shot than the last one he sent which merely got caught up in the links of Nicea's chain shirt.

"Scars of Lamashtu!" Tsuto curses again as the arrow misses and glances off the ceiling stone.

Seeing the person at the back who is yelling at her friends, Damieka grumbles, "It's people like this guy who gives half-elves a bad name."

She doesn't even look at Silva as he goes to the door but keeps her eyes on the target, "No problem, Silva."

Damieka lifts her bow and aims at Tsuto in hatred for what he's done and for being part of a goblin plot, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 191d8 ⇒ 7

The scythe attack should have been at +4 (no FF and certainly not that high), not +8, making it a 20, not a 24. I have no idea what I was looking at. Sorry! Thank you, Mahorfeus.

Davben once again strikes out at the goblin in front of him he seems to be having quite a bit of trouble connecting with the slippery little devil.

Zara is slightly confused by everything that is going on; there seems to be so much chaos and in the dark confines of the narrow damp passageways. No-one seems to be hurt and then the beautiful elegant elf comes up behind her. 'She must know what to do, I'll get out of her way.'

She ducks to the floor trying not to get too much of the dirt and grime upon her few remaining clothes.

Drop to Floor prone. Hold action to heal if both Davben & Nicea are hurt.

Samara moves past Zara and takes aim to fire another arrow out at the nearest goblin, if it is still standing.

Samara moves to E5

Samara targets goblin at G5

• Nicea cuts down Goblin 5 and moves back to H-5.

• Goblin 1, after listening to Tsuto's words snaps out of his daze and angrily attacks Nicea!

• Silva slips in through the door (not dropping the coin) and into a room where yet another section of wall has been smashed down and a long dark tunnel has been dug.

• Samara moves to E-5, shoots, and misses.

• Tsuto fires another arrow and misses again.

• Goblin 4 swings at Davben again.

  Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Miss

• Zara drops to her knees.

• Davben strikes Goblin 4 and breaks it's body.

• Damieka fires an arrow at Tsuto but misses (due to soft cover penalties).

Round 5 Begins Now!

Samara drops her bow, noting, "Please do not step on that... I will grab it later," and draws her rapier, attempting to move past the goblin at the door and moving like a trained acrobat.

Nicea's face wrinkles in disgust. "You mean your sister, goblin-trainer?"

Scythe PA on Goblin H4: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

"Hold still and die, green squealer. Where's your sister, kinslayer?"

Silva steps further into the opening, pointing his luminous coin down the dark passageway.

"Ameiko, are you there? Ameiko!" he yells into the tunnel, listening carefully for any kind of response.

Five-foot step onto J-9. 6 rounds remaining on dancing lights.

Damieka grumbles due to not hitting the man as she'd had to adjust for others being in the way. This was a reason she preferred the outdoors to inside. If she had to fight she normally had the space to do so without hurting someone else.

As Silva starts calling for Ameiko she moved to H9 and looks to make sure Silva is still there, "Wait for the rest of us Silva. Don't go running off on your own. Right behind you, Nicea!"

The hunter thinks of shooting again but is afraid that if she does she may hit Nicea. She'd been doing well up to now and she did not want to toy with her luck so Damieka decided to wait until Nicea moved out of the way to shoot. Her bow was still up and her eyes on the target of the half-elf but until her friend moved she would not try anything. If she heard anything behind her or near Silva she would react though.

Watching as the elf moves quickly past her tumbling and dodging, the motion hypnotic in it's grace. 'She would make a great dancer, maybe more elegant than me. I wonder if I could presuade her to join me on stage... and she would look good in scarves.' There's a clatter as the bow hits the floor.

Stretching out in front of her Zara places a hand upon the curved wooden bow of Samara's. Feeling useless she rises and picks up the bow, holding it in her overloaded hand.

Stand and pick up Samara's dropped bow.

Davben moves up, but finds himself unable to easily get past Nicea and the goblin's fight to get at the half-elf. Thinking that perhaps the room beside him will connect and allow him to come at Tsuto from a different angle he tries to open the door. If it's unlocked he'll take a look inside to see what he can find.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

Stunning Fist Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Fort DC 13 or stunned 1 round

Open door at F-5 and hopefully whatever's in there is blatantly obvious. Doug since I don't know what's in that room, I trust you to bot him if he can do anything useful in there. If there is a clear path to Tsuto's room he'll use stunning fist on him with the freebie for the attack roll.

Tsuto Kaijitsu

In frustration, Tsuto throws down the worthless bow, frog leaps the goblin, and rolls dextrously past Nicea to end up behind her (H6).

Roll to freedom: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25 v. DC 24 (Nicea's CMD of 15+5, +2(Davben), +2(Samara) = Total 24

Then he stands and swings a powerful punch at the small of Nicea's back.

Shoryuken: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 = 19

Super Dungeon Fighter Turbo Damage with Sneakiness: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 5) + 1 = 8

As the impact sends pain through Nicea, Tsuto says in a cold quiet voice, "I have slain no kin, you stupid cow. And I do love my sister, but not in whatever demented way you wish to fantasize about when you're rotting in hell."

He straightens into a combat stance as he readies himself. "The woman of my dreams would see all the fools of Sandpoint wiped from the map. I came here to save my sister from the fate of fools!" His face turns bitter. "But she has refused to be saved."

If I am right about this then I can possibly have a shot at Tsuto since I had Damieka waiting for something to happen. If this is not so then this can be deleted for not being right.

Damieka grins as the half-elf jumps into a spot that she can exploit and shoots at the man hoping to the gods that her shot rings true. Hopefully the man will live all this so they could find out what it was all about but if he didn't she wouldn't mind so much.

Shooting at Tsuto: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 121d8 ⇒ 2

Nicea grunts in pain as the unexpected punch connects. Tears of pain spring to her eyes and her knees wobble, but she manages to stay on her feet. "The only thing I'll fantasize about in hell is what to help them do to you next, fool."

• Nicea swings at Goblin 1 and misses...

• Goblin 1 attacks Nicea.

  Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Hit

  Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

• Silva looks down the tunnel and listens. The tunnel is too long to see through to the end but you swear you can hear something...

• Samara dodges, dips, dives, ducks and dodges her way masterfully to I-4.

• Tsuto frog leaps Goblin 1 and rolls to H-6 just as Samara does the same while entering the room. He strikes Nicea in the lower back with a Shoryuken. Pain shoots up through Niceas spine as she tries not to loose consciousness.

• Zara picks up Samara's bow.

• Davben opens the door and looks inside. Unfortunately the room is dark and there just isn't enough light to see anything.

• Damieka lines up a shot at Tsuto, fires, and misses.

Round 6 Begins Now!

Nicea takes a defensive stance, bringing her scythe up to try to block any blows from Tsuto or the goblin.

Total defense; +4 to AC.

"Samara, can you give me a hand with this little menace?"

Samara moves to H3, taking a careful five foot step to get there, attempting to skewer the goblin before her, sure to try and get its attention so it focuses on her instead of Nicea should it be faster than her.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 +2 on top of that if flank
Damage: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + (4) = 7 second die for Sneak Attack

HP: 8/8

Zara sees someone flick past Nicea, his tumbling body then the heavy fist hit into their leader. "Oi you are a meanie!" she calls dropping her sling scarf to the floor. Her other hand held aloft presenting the material encircled wrist she calls for healing energies to bolster Nicea.

She takes a pace forward towards the man, whilst wondering who his love is?

Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 3 Healing & Selective - I think Nicea is the only one hurt?

Step to C5

FYI Zara has the bow and bladed scarf scrunched in 1 hand. The other free for spell casting - if this is acceptable? (she of course cannot use either for combat).

"Scum sucking goblin lover!" Damieka yells as she lodges another arrow complaint at Tsuto, rage now taking control of her aim.

Davben grumbles finding the room pitch black, and still having no good way to close in on Tsuto, or help Nicea. Assuming Nicea is still on her feet he'll try to dodge around Tsuto to get behind him, and attack. If Nicea is down and bleeding he'll step up to her and reach down to touch her.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Use freebie to succeed
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

If Nicea is down and needs stabilizing he'll use his sacred touch trait to auto stabilize her (standard action)

"Could that be her...?" Silva wonders, before shaking his head. Damieka was right - he had business to attend to first. Taking one step back towards the door, Silva peeks around the corner and casts a spell on Tsuto.

Cast ear-piercing scream on Tsuto (DC 16).

• Nicea takes a total defensive action.

• Goblin 1 continues its assault on Nicea.

  Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 OMFG!

  Crit Confirmation: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 I'm so sorry....

  Damage: 1d4 + 1d4 ⇒ (3) + (3) = 6

  Nicea Drops

  "Excellent work Goblin. I will tell Nualia of your triumph!"

• Silva peeks his head out around the door and casts Ear Piercing Scream

  Tsuto Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Fail

  Silva ducks back into the room.

• Samara moves 5 feet and strikes Goblin 1 (no sneak attack) successfully.

• Tsuto just stands there.....

• Zara releases another burst of Positive Energy. Zara, Davben, Nicea & Samara all receive the spells effects.

• Davben moves to H-7 and strikes Tsuto.

• Damieka fumbles with her bow
