Not waiting any more for Frank. Anyone want to PM him?
Kat just gives a little shrug. "Sure, I could, but we're in here now." She idly (and tauntingly) gives the can an shake or two as she turns to Adam and adds "I haven't heard of it, but that sounds like a good start. Can you track down a location?"
Adam O'Reilly |
"Probably. Lemme check on the 'trix first, then we'll go have a chat with some locals if that doesn't work."

Adrik "Rick" Ivanov |
Rick sits back and lets the others sort out this 'Pirate Haven'. Still hurting from their recent battle, he conserves his strenght. Besides, most of the people he know are meat and bone, not matrix avatars, but perhaps he could contact someone...after all the Vory are connected to lots of smuggling into and out of the megaplex.
Adam O'Reilly |
"Yes, by party I mean guns, armor, grenades, and whatever chemical weapons I can scrounge up." Adam looks around the crappy hotel room, seeing nothing worth playing around with immediately present. He frowns at the thought of another firefight like before.
"Man I wish I had my chem-kit with me. Or at least a narcoject. Perhaps that's our line...a runner group looking for non-lethal hardware and some chemical precursors. Seems like the kinda stuff our boy'd be dealing."
Adrik "Rick" Ivanov |
I carry a Yamaha Pulsar. Not a chem weapon, but still nonlethal..as well as these!" and he holds up his hands...a light blue nimbus can be seen shimmering against his pale skin.
Maeyan "Hellcat" Kithalond |
Sorry, it was apparently my turn to vanish for a bit. Still no word from Frank?
Kat tosses her hair, with a disdainful, "Toys"". Then she pauses for a moment, and rather uncharacteristically continues in a more thoughtful tone: "Albeit, effective toys."
Recovering her poise, she pushes herself off the wall. "It sounds like the best plan we have, so lets go give it a shot."
Adrik "Rick" Ivanov |
"Is as good as plan as any. Let us go and find this 'Pirate Haven'. Lets hope our man is there, as well, and can answer a few questions."
Rick gets slowly up and stretches. His most serious wounds and many of the lesser scrapes and bruises have stopped hurting, but he is still not feeling 100% and will need to be careful.

Kat interrupts her own gear check (or maybe she's just checking herself in the mirror) to fire back at Faed: "I don't see how that's my problem - It's not my wall that's got paint all over it." She waves her hand dismissively in the direction of the wall. "Besides, that's what the maids are here for." She then resumes nonchalantly checking that she has all her jewelry on and all her various minor items in her pockets.
Emerging from the bathroom, she says "I'm ready. Time to earn our paysticks."
Mr. Johnson GM |
Sorry, I should have done this a long time ago, but moving the scene along...
As soon as you all leave the hotel, a young ork boy--possibly 9 or 10 years old-- loitering across the street spots your motley group, runs up with all the vigor and excitement only a kid like him can muster and cries Hey, chummers, need a guide?
Mr. Johnson GM |
Oh yes,, chummer! I've played in these tunnels since I was a little kid, he says without a trace of irony, no one knows 'em better'n me! Just 50¥ each for Pip's amazing Underground tour service! He beams, striking his chest with his thumb. So where to, chummers? he says, holding out a battered commlink with a crack down the screen, a payment program visible.
Adrik "Rick" Ivanov |
Still feeling a little shaky from the beating he took from the gangers, Rick gets up with the others and follows them out onto the street.
Maeyan "Hellcat" Kithalond |
Kat briefly eyes the kid with distaste, then pretends he doesn't exist. Whether that's for his race, his age, or his socioeconomic status is unclear, but any of them could qualify him for her disapproval. Or it could just be another act, fulfilling the stereotype of "haughty elf".
She leaves it to Adam to pay the kid, regardless.
Adam O'Reilly |
Whoops, didn't realize I hadn't responded here. My bad, guys.
"Sure, Guide, sounds like you've got a good grasp of the situation down here. We're looking for The Pirate's Cove, and someone to talk to for a hardware exchange. Perhaps we can include you in our future dealings, sweeten the deal for you?"
9d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 4, 2, 1, 2, 1, 3, 4) = 26 1 hit :( negotiation to pay less in cash and more in possible weapons for the kid.
