Faed? Frank? Still with us?

Male Human

Bump...?

intuition: 4d4 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 2) = 10 completely fooled by the illusion
Never heard of Pirate's Cove, but more importantly... can you spray paint this presentation on your own damn wall?

You rolled d4's. You're never going to even have a chance with those. :p

LOL..I have so done that before....

Not waiting any more for Frank. Anyone want to PM him?

Kat just gives a little shrug. "Sure, I could, but we're in here now." She idly (and tauntingly) gives the can an shake or two as she turns to Adam and adds "I haven't heard of it, but that sounds like a good start. Can you track down a location?"

Male Human

"Probably. Lemme check on the 'trix first, then we'll go have a chat with some locals if that doesn't work."

Spoiler:

Data search for Pirate's Cove: 9d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 1, 4, 3, 4, 3, 1) = 26 0 hits
8d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 4, 1, 2, 4, 4) = 26 1 hit

5d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 6, 2) = 21 3 hits

3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1) = 8 1 hit
2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 2 hits

Total: 12 hits

Rick sits back and lets the others sort out this 'Pirate Haven'. Still hurting from their recent battle, he conserves his strenght. Besides, most of the people he know are meat and bone, not matrix avatars, but perhaps he could contact someone...after all the Vory are connected to lots of smuggling into and out of the megaplex.

Faed scowls at Kat and goes back to cleaning her pistol.

Adam:
The Matrix just confirms what you already know, it's a smuggler's den in the OU. Your searches don't reveal any clues to its location, though.

Male Human

"Whelp, looks like its time to hit the pavement and ask around. Shall we step out in our party clothes and greet the locals? I believe a few Skraacha members may remember us and have some nice things to say. Perhaps less conspicuously elven wear is in order though."

Faed perks up at Adam's comment
Now when you say party... her eyes flick to the shotgun in the corner and a grin creeps across her face.

Male Human

"Yes, by party I mean guns, armor, grenades, and whatever chemical weapons I can scrounge up." Adam looks around the crappy hotel room, seeing nothing worth playing around with immediately present. He frowns at the thought of another firefight like before.

"Man I wish I had my chem-kit with me. Or at least a narcoject. Perhaps that's our line...a runner group looking for non-lethal hardware and some chemical precursors. Seems like the kinda stuff our boy'd be dealing."

I carry a Yamaha Pulsar. Not a chem weapon, but still nonlethal..as well as these!" and he holds up his hands...a light blue nimbus can be seen shimmering against his pale skin.

Male Human

"Nice. Is that one of your magic tricks? My 'magic' usually comes from beakers and gas dispensers, ya know? Plus using my hands requires me being up close and that obviously is not my strong suit. I would have lasted less than an eyeblink against those chipped up gang bangers."

Sorry, it was apparently my turn to vanish for a bit. Still no word from Frank?

Kat tosses her hair, with a disdainful, "Toys"". Then she pauses for a moment, and rather uncharacteristically continues in a more thoughtful tone: "Albeit, effective toys."

Recovering her poise, she pushes herself off the wall. "It sounds like the best plan we have, so lets go give it a shot."

Male Human

"Okay, sounds good. Gear up, and let's roll. Anyone know someone down here to start asking? Going in cold is a bit harder, but I'm confident we can pull it off."

Human Physical Adapt | Condition Monitors (P 11/11 | S 10/10) | Limits (P 7|M 5|S 5 |A 5) | Perception 6 | Armor Rating 12 | Unarmed Strike -13[7], DV 5P | Yamaha Pulsar - Taser, Acc 5, DV 7S(e), AP -5, SA, 4 (m)

"Is as good as plan as any. Let us go and find this 'Pirate Haven'. Lets hope our man is there, as well, and can answer a few questions."
Rick gets slowly up and stretches. His most serious wounds and many of the lesser scrapes and bruises have stopped hurting, but he is still not feeling 100% and will need to be careful.

Faed puts her various weapons back together
If anyone feels the need to upgrade their firepower, I've got a trunk full of toys in the car.

Male Human

"I may take you up on that offer. I'm decent with a rifle or shotgun, but didn't bring my Remington with me. Not so much with the automatics, though, they always seem to climb on me when I fire."

You're welcome to borrow my SPAS, but if you break it you by it. Speaking of buy it, Kat, your payin to clean that crap off my walls.
Faed gets her gear in order and throws on her coat
We ready to roll?

Kat interrupts her own gear check (or maybe she's just checking herself in the mirror) to fire back at Faed: "I don't see how that's my problem - It's not my wall that's got paint all over it." She waves her hand dismissively in the direction of the wall. "Besides, that's what the maids are here for." She then resumes nonchalantly checking that she has all her jewelry on and all her various minor items in her pockets.

Emerging from the bathroom, she says "I'm ready. Time to earn our paysticks."

GM:
I'm not sure if the spell ends once I'm out of LOS to it or not, but if not, I'll drop it once we leave the floor.

Kat:
I think you do need to keep the illusion in LOS to maintain it, so that takes care of that.

Sorry, I should have done this a long time ago, but moving the scene along...

As soon as you all leave the hotel, a young ork boy--possibly 9 or 10 years old-- loitering across the street spots your motley group, runs up with all the vigor and excitement only a kid like him can muster and cries Hey, chummers, need a guide?

Male Human

"Ya know what, omae, I think we could use a local's expertise. What's your rate, chum?"

Adam keeps his "friendly guy" smile in place, despite packing a full sized shotgun (badly) under his suit jacket, along with his other gear.

"Know these parts well, huh?"

Oh yes,, chummer! I've played in these tunnels since I was a little kid, he says without a trace of irony, no one knows 'em better'n me! Just 50¥ each for Pip's amazing Underground tour service! He beams, striking his chest with his thumb. So where to, chummers? he says, holding out a battered commlink with a crack down the screen, a payment program visible.

Still feeling a little shaky from the beating he took from the gangers, Rick gets up with the others and follows them out onto the street.

Kat briefly eyes the kid with distaste, then pretends he doesn't exist. Whether that's for his race, his age, or his socioeconomic status is unclear, but any of them could qualify him for her disapproval. Or it could just be another act, fulfilling the stereotype of "haughty elf".

She leaves it to Adam to pay the kid, regardless.

Male Human

Whoops, didn't realize I hadn't responded here. My bad, guys.

"Sure, Guide, sounds like you've got a good grasp of the situation down here. We're looking for The Pirate's Cove, and someone to talk to for a hardware exchange. Perhaps we can include you in our future dealings, sweeten the deal for you?"

9d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 4, 2, 1, 2, 1, 3, 4) = 26 1 hit :( negotiation to pay less in cash and more in possible weapons for the kid.

Well, uh, mister, I'm jus' a tour guide wanting to make a living not hurting nobody. he seems uncomfortable talking about moving "hardware." He composes himself, and puts on his previous smile. I can take you to Pirate's Cove, sure! 50¥ each please!

The kid seems unwilling to budge from 50¥.

Male Human

"Sure kid. Here's the dough." Adam hands him 5 certified credsticks, ¥50 glowing on each.

I guess this game is good and gone....could you please remove it.

Sad...

I know...I was really liking this game...maybe we can find a new GM or something
