Roderick makes a banking turn to match the ship's movement, focusing on getting ahead of and above it in order to effectively intercept it. He holds his pistol at his side, focusing on flying as quickly as he can instead.

Run to get to the ship. 160 ft of movement that should end 30' above the ship and towards its prow. My arrow is 145` by my count, which leaves plenty to move up 30' (total 40' off the ground).

Alys makes her way to the ship's mast and from the elevated position looks for a good shot at the gunner turned helmsman.

Double move, if there is a crow's nest or some other platform on the mast I will stand on that, otherwise, whatever's available.

Climb or acrobatics check if necessary: 1d20 ⇒ 9 +12 if acrobatics, +4 if climb, if I have the choice I'll go with acribatics.

Moving Alys back some, not sure where she was before her double move, but he ship moves before she does

The ship begins moving forward as steam pours out of the bottom! It raises out of the water, clearing the surface! It moves to the north east, picking up speed.

On the deck, one of the lizardfolks takes a step forward, and claws and bites at the construct that just arrived!

Claw: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Claw: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

The construct is rent into small bits and pieces!

The large lizardfolks each grab a spear the size of a small tree off racks that are attached to the two masts. One throws one at Alys, the other at Adraniel!

Alys: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 6 - 2 = 22
Adraniel: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 6 - 2 = 5

Damage, Alys: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 3) + 5 = 12

The one at Adraniel goes wide, but the one at Alys finds it's mark, her ability to dodge compromised by her headlong flight to get to the ship! The wooden shaft hurtles the steel head deep into her side!

"Please make sure those constructs subdue that running one alive." Rory mutters as wounds close. "I PERSONALLY WANT TO RIP OFF HIS TAIL AND FORCE HIM TO EAT IT!"

Adraniel hits the lizardfolk in control of the ship, wounding him, but he remains on his feet.

The large lizardfolk grunts, and pulls a large shield that was hanging from the side of the ship and moves it between Adraniel and the green lizardfolk!

The running lizardfolk withdraws, provoking an AoO from two of the smaller constructs, and dives into the ocean, vanishing under the surface (unless the two constructs manage to hit and do good damage on the AoO).

The ship accelerates now, driving higher as it speeds up, now 50ft above the ocean surface. Alys is pressed into the rigging as it goes up and forward by the combination of wind and acceleration! DC 10 str check not to be blown off from the sudden change in acceleration and direction. DC 15 flight check if Alys loses her grip on the yards.

The shark construct pushes Elara's bloody body up onto the beach.

Connor commanded the two constructs he named Big Red (3 rounds left), Big Blue (2 rounds left), and Big Green (7 rounds left) to flat-out charge the fleeing ship. (20 ft x 3 = 60 ft). As for the last one from the beach, the constructs followed their master's command, with a slight change to not kill the lizardman, but just beat him and carry him back to the beach.

A little construct formed in mid-air at the edge of the circle of rocks and took off like a bullet at the fleeing ship. (20 ft x 3 = 60 ft, 8 hr duration).

Connor took wing and looked around, looking for Adran and Elara.

"The last lizard is swimming for it!" he said to Rory. "The ship is taking off - we can't stop it! There's still too many aboard! Adran's been thrown off the ship! And I can't see Elara!" Connor's hands made to form another construct. Hero, he sent, tell Adran to stop that ship! Don't let them take Alys!

I won't bother moving his icon anymore, he's got 18 rounds of swimming before he needs to come up for air, he'll be out of the cove by then.

Adran takes aim as the big lizard now provides cover for the helmsman but he lets loose another arrow.

The arrow is able to sore pass the large lizard and still find its mark. Adran then flies forward 40' to prepare to shoot again as the ship starts moving.

Sorry everyone, life's been hitting me left and right. I'm also on the road again for work, I spend about 16 hours a week on a plane and in the airport. Things will be spotty through the end of the year, and will hopefully get back to semi normal early in January.

Roderick panics as the ship takes off, with Alys still on board, and can't decide what to do.

The ship raises up rapidly, and accelerates as it powers away from the cove! DC 15 str check for Alys to hold onto the rigging, DC 15 fly check to recover if she fails

Alys fires at the helmsman, but the bolts glance off the shield being held up by the large lizardfolk.

Adraniel however manages to slip an arrow past into the green skinned helmsman, who grunts in pain.

Rory sees Elara washing up in the surf, and rushes over to her to render first aid.

Given how fast it's moving, that is an accurate summary of what I do.

Cursing as the ship gains speed faster than he had anticipated, Roderick watches the fleeing ship futilely. Pulling into a hover, he tries to take aim, but the distance and the speed of the ship render hitting anything an impossibility. He hovers for a moment as the ship begins to fade into the distance. Damn, we should have had them. I believe this will render our task more difficult then we would have liked. Hearing Rory's shout over his shoulder, he looks towards the beach and shrugs. He turns to cast one last look at the fading ship.

No action, just some flavor text.

The three Humavian-sized astral constructs (#1, #2, and #3) looked at the waters where the lizardman had dived under the surface, and slowly faded from view, their ectoplasm evaporating back into the aether.

Big Red (2 rounds left), Big Blue (1 round left), and Big Green (6 rounds left) mindlessly kept up their forward flight in an effort to catch up to the skyship, but wings and feathers were outclassed by turbines gulping air. (I've got questions about how fast a skyship can "haul anchor", minutes instead of rounds, but oh well. Little Astral Construct #4 has 8 hours left.)

Hero, Connor sent, tell Adran that he needs to tell Alys to fall off the side. Both of you, glide back to the beach. Rory's calling this a wash. At least we reduced their numbers.

Gritting his teeth in frustration, Connor flew with Rory over to Elara's position on the beach, the astral shark still keeping her above the crashing waves. The closer he got to where Rory was flying, the better he saw his astral shark (4 rds left), and its' cargo. (Moving both Connor and Rory 40x3=120ft on The Cove map, straight towards Elara)

"Too much distance between everybody and everything! That skyship's as fast as a courier!" Connor complained to Rory while they beat wings.

They didn't set anchor, or turn the engines off, it was ready to take off at a moments notice. It needed 6 rounds to get completely away. It's still possible to catch, but it's accellerating fast. And it is one of the smaller faster courier type ships.

Adran's arrow takes the helmsman in the back, and the poor lizardfolk falls to the side, bleeding out!

The large lizardfolk tries to grab the wheel, but misses it, and the ship starts to turn sharply as the falling lizardfolk takes it off kilter!

Caught off guard as the ship slews hard to starboard, Roderick spots the slumped form of the helmsman. Realizing the opportunity, he resumes his frenzied pursuit at a slower pace, studying the motions of the ship in order to perfectly time his shot. Coming into a smooth glide for a moment, he sights down his revolver at the large back of the fleeing lizardman. He resumes his pursuit after having taken the shot.

Move action to get closer, quick to study the closest of the large lizardman and standard to shoot at him. Use studied strike for extra damage.

As Rory pulls Elara bodily out of the water with one hand he shakes his head as the boat veers and sways to and fro.

"And this si why, Mr. Connor, Reville's case their mark for days, possibly weeks before making a move! Roach piss I hope they don't crash the damn thing!"

Connor shrugged off his backpack and got his healer's kit out. (Saving the psionic healing for the truly dying.) He absently sent the astral shark (3 rds) on a nearby patrol, in case that lizardman came back.

The four astral constructs continued racing towards the lumbering skyship, following their orders. (Big Red = 1 rd, Big Blue gone this round, Big Green 5 rds, AC#4 has hours left. Only Green has a chance to do something on the ship, Red and Blue are out, little AC can easily make it.)

The ship, horribly overcorrected, tilts onto it's side!

Large Lizardfolk 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Large Lizardfolk 2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Both of the large lizardfolk manage to hold onto the wildly whipping and tilting ship, but the green lizardfolk and Alys both slide off the deck and into the ocean below!

The ship then rapidly loses height, and then slams into the beach! The sound of wood cracking and the sight of the hull collapsing and the masts cracking are heard like gunshots!

Damage: 3d8 ⇒ (8, 5, 2) = 15
Damage: 3d8 ⇒ (6, 2, 5) = 13

Both lizardfolk are slammed into the hulk of the wrecked ship, and stunned...

On the deck, one of the lizardfolks takes a step to the side, and attacks Alys! Flat footed, can't control the ship and maintain dex to AC at the same time, same as the lizardfolk earlier, why he needed a shield from someone else

Yeah, it got retconned, because Alys pointed out I used the wrong AC on her. Honestly I think she's in a worse spot now than the previous way, but meh.

The big lizadfolk tries to regain control of the ship.

Prof(Sailor): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

The ship whipsaws back and forth, and scrapes the tree tops before angling up sharply and bucking!

To be clear to all. The current situation is as stands : The ship is no longer crashing, but it's also not under control. That is, he missed the DC to regain control, but not by 5 or more, so it's 'unstable' but that's it. While it's unstable, it can't gain speed or altitude or really change course. If he fails by 5 or more again, the ship will hit the trees. If Alys is still onboard, she'll almost certainly be killed in the crash, as she doesn't have the HP to absorb the 5d8 crash damage (given it's hitting solid ground instead of ocean/beach like before). Now, Hero is on the ship, trying to get to Alys to activate her tattoo. If it succeeds, then she might survive a crash, but she'd be safer getting off the ship, as the giant lizardfolk is (A) Not a good sailor and (B) handicapped by the fact the controls are medium sized

Well one of them needs to fly the ship. Time to be a hero.

Adrans armor absorbs back into his body changing into the just the protective skin, making him faster. He darts forward and lands on the crows nest looking down at the lizards. He calls out.

Draconic: "Surrender now. The ship and the fight is lost."
