Gen Con will be here before you know it! Read today's blog for a preview of the mighty adventures to come this summer!

Excited to come again for my second ever gencon! Gonna be really fun! Though I'm really disappointed by how much prices increased this year, compared to last year, I haven't seen a word about this, I was hoping it'd be addressed!

Agreed. I haven't actually played since last GenCon, I've lost pretty much any interest given the changes they've made in the past year. But today, I look briefly at the tickets while thinking of what I want to do at GenCon this year, and the price raised from $10 for a four hour game to $22 for a two hour game?

I'm sorry, but that's the final nail in the coffin for me.

Join Paizo designers and developers for a masterclass in enhancing your Pathfinder games with 2026’s newest releases. Dive into the mystical and magical with new classes, spells and fey mysteries, take your players into ship-to-ship combat, and more! Bring your questions for our panel of experienced GMs.

Looks like we're finally getting ship-to-ship combat coming in a future PF2E book! Looking forward to it. I'm guessing we're likely getting it in whatever book the "Risks & Rewards" playtest classes will be in.

A strong companion for LO: High Seas.

Maybe a Nautical AP is on the horizon.

Say Mediogalti or The Eye of Abendego, or the ancestral lands of the Cyclops.

Horizon Hunters

Out of tradition, I'm gonna try and get into the high tier for the PFS special. I have a kobold in level who wants to test his mettle vs a kaiju.

If not, just gonna swing by the store (hopefully they do another store in the Sagamore) and grab an AP. Really haven't cared for the themes of the past couple of years and I'm more interested in playing on my established characters than new one, even if they're getting a little long in the tooth for Society play.

Yeah it’s…not great, at all. I’m especially disappointed at the lack of acknowledgement of it. You’d think there would have been an announcement, some sort of explanation. When is it reasonable for prices to DOUBLE and content to HALVE in the span of just one year? After how long I spent in Sagamore last year, I’m not likely to spend any time there except for one of the specials (and even then I might not even go for that much. I’m still debating at this point) and that’s just so horribly bittersweet

At least if one wants to play Pathfinder, both editions, there is a lot of people who are offering their own games independent from Paizo’s offerings which run at 4$ per game

Yup, I've been looking into some of those as alternatives. I haven't gotten to play PF1 for several years, and I see this "Legends of the Shining Jewel" group seems to be running modules ($1/hr!) using a homebrew world. Haven't made any decisions yet on what I'm doing this year, but.. unlike the past 13 years where Paizo has dominated my schedule, I'm free this year to branch out.
