Infusing machines with arcane and divine magic might not be unknown in Pathfinder but has anyone thought of what the consequences would be of a nation of power hungry people slowly draining arcane/divine beings (or perhaps even people like Sorcerers) of their magical potential in order to infuse that power into war machines? It'd make for a pretty interested campaign/adventure path I feel.

You might also import some things from Starfinder2e (like Vehicles and Augmentations). The math and mechanics would all match up, though it might need some light re-theming.

I immediately thought of Final Fantasy 6. I kind of picture Terra as a Sorcerer. Celes could maybe be a Magus?
Pretty much, maybe with a summoner dedication with meld into eidolon for terra and her trance form.
And yeah Celes is 100% a magus with Magical Experiment (elemental resistance I guess) as her background. Cascade Countermeasure+Spell Parry+Capture Magic+Preternatual Parry all fit her very well.

That was pretty much the whole Living Arcanis vibe. The Sorcerer King claimed all people of magic as his domain and his agents would kidnap sorcerers and other magic blooded beings to his island for pretty much unspeakable things.

Eh, I'd argue both are magi. Both are equally proficient with armor and weapons, plus both have the highest magical stat in the game out of all party members so its not like you could make a difference there. To be precise, both would be eldritch scion magus from PF1e since both get their magic from genetic reasons (in the case of Celes, it isn't a bloodline thing like its for Terra, but the sorcerer has examples of bloodlines that aren't a result of atavism but rather exposure to certain energies as well).

The Jistka Imperium
There's also The Azlanti Empire with the mezlan, at least I believe it used to be more explicitly the Azlanti and was then broadened out. There are also Hell engines which animates a construct with the power of a hellish contract, and arguably the mortal's own soul.

Which fun fact, the Jistka Imperium, while I'm unsure if they specifically created hell engines, practiced both binding celestials, fiends, and elementals. Before eventually figuring out binding a human.
