I am making a new character for an upcoming Agents of Edgewatch game so while I was building my character I wanted her to be an Eldritch Archer. While building I noticed something was missing from Remastered Eldritch Archer and it confused me which is this paragraph missing:
"If you already cast spells from spell slots, you learn one additional cantrip from that tradition. If you’re a prepared caster, you can prepare this spell in addition to your usual cantrips per day; if you’re a spontaneous caster, you add this cantrip to your spell repertoire."
To make sure I opened up the Advanced Player's Guide... lo' and behold it is there while it is absent on Player Core 2. My question is what happens now if you already have spellcasting due to class or dedication from before?
A) You gain nothing about spellcasting from the Dedication feat, only Eldritch Shot.
B) You don't learn to cast spontaneous spells and don't gain the Cast a Spell activity BUT you still gain a spell repertoire, a cantrip of your choice from a tradition of your choice and your casting attribute is Charisma for the Dedication. You gain Eldritch Shot.
Is there a C option? I am reading it as B but it confuses me and wanted to make sure if my reading is correct since English is not my main language. v.v

It's a bit weird. The way the "Regardless of whether you can already cast spells or gained the ability from this dedication," is seperated out would imply that the prior paragraph is meant to only apply if you can't already cast spells. Which would then imply A. But I'm not super confident either.
FWIW if I was your DM i'd let you use interpreation B because an extra cantrip is fun.

I find the rewording dissatisfying, you do get less of a benefit if you're a caster. It's almost as if they don't want the Archetype to provide casting, but it kinda has to for those without.
There's an odd effect too if you grab a spellcasting feature afterward, in that either you lose that Cantrip (and it might not even be available from one's new list) or you keep it and that the order in which you took the abilities matters (something Paizo/PF2 has otherwise avoided AFAICT).
Also note that pre-Remaster Cantrips whose names have changed are still available in their original form. This matters since many have been switched from spell attack to saving throw.

I'd assume that that sentence only applies to that sentence, so B. It doesn't make sense to make the archetype worse for spellcasters when it's already essentially worse because of their proficiency.
The 'regardless of whether' language muddies the waters a bit but I can't fathom why A would make any sense design wise.
... Ofc Paizo as a company sometimes likes to make things needlessly bad on purpose for no discernible reason, so if it ever gets errata'd it's a coin flip which way they'll go.
