PFS lore becoming default in PFS has been among the changes I have been most pleased with to my own surprise. It just makes sense and it comes up a lot. IDK how it works in Starfinder Society, but all but the Legacy Field Promotions spent 3 years in Pathfinder College before their initiation. It just made sense.

I also agree that consistency would be nice to have. Also agree that having free Starfinder Lore would be good. Unless you are a skill monkey, most classes don't have enough skill slots to take something like Starfinder Society Lore, and the classes wiht the fewest skills could really use the boost by having a free skill that is not related to their core class.
I'd also like to see provisions in SF2e. Pathfinder provisions are a great backup for when a group of random players shows up and no one is or has any healing. Although I suppose another way to deal with that situation in SF2e is to run encounters in easy mode.

It hilariously implies a HUGE quality drop from the standard the Society has from the Pathfinder days to the Starfinder days. Management just doesn’t care! Same with how the Starfinder Agent dedication gives you a lot less training than the Pathfinder one.
Back in the day, they’d teach my people like my kobold how to read and made sure to prepare her well for the problems she’d encounter in the field. Nowadays they give you a gun, some credits and go “good luck, Starfinder”!

What I'd really like to see, regarding this, is not just free SFS lore for all the agents but some implication of ongoing training from the Society as well, as would be reflected in all agents being granted the Additional Lore (Starfinder Society)
Side note - I'd love for this to be the case for Pathfinder Society Lore as well.

Back in the day there was either 3 years of training but most of the PCs were field commissions AKA monster filler upper so the scholars could get to the things.

You still get that, though, you just don't get the training on the Society's own history and such.

Here is my one dumb idea of the day
SFS and PFS adds free archetype but it can only take the Star/Pathfinder Archetype in it. Add then a special rule that the FA doesn't have the SPECIAL.
Maybe then players would all have some minimal skill level which devs can plan for and players can feel connected to the org and each other as members and not feel so much adventures who just walked in off the street.
