I've been watching a video on Al-Qadim, and the land of Fate is one of those settings which TSR stopped and Wizards never redeveloped due to two problems:
1. A lot of people liked Quasi-Medieval fantasy. Faerûn settings simply outsold those for Al-Qadim.
2. Al-Qadim is a great setting that had some problems from the get go. Mostly because TSR was overextending itself during the '90s.
BUT . . . I'm thinking of running a game set in Zakhara: The Southern Realms. However, I wonder, how many people will be willing to play in a setting based off of the Arabian Nights and Sinbad? There were a lot of movies produced based off of Sinbad and the Arabian Nights tales. Even Disney got one off (Aladdin).
I could do an adventure with Qadira in Golarion, but Zakhara of the Forgotten Realms is very detailed and I have a lot of material to base a game there. Yes, if you read the Arabian Nights tales, and seen some of the Sinbad movies (and there are a lot of them) and enjoyed them, then a campaign set in Zakhara could be your ticket.
However, it would mean redeveloping Al-Qadim for 3e and Pathfinder. Wizards won't call foul on a game set there, though. The game that I'll run won't be a paid game in money. Which means its purely a hobby game (mostly because I don't want to get sued by Wizards).
This, hypothetical game, will have the hallmarks of a Fantasy game inspired by the Arabian Nights tales. If I get a lot of interest, I'll put the Waterdeep idea on the back burner and run this instead.

Reviewing materials for Al-Qadim and Zakhara I noticed that it notes that Ogres living peacefully with the normal population. I have long had this idea of an Ogre that uses a "cannon" and after the initial volley uses it basically as a large metal great club.
As always, I expect the answer to be no, because 'Ogre', but just thought I would throw it out there.

Yeah, I'm sure we would have to build the Ogre's stats from the ground up.

I am thinking of playing a medusa bloodline bloodrager (or with your permission using the medusa bloodline as a sorcerer bloodline for a crossblooded sorcerer).
If a bloodrager, not sure which, if any, archetypes I would use.
Thinking possibly medusa/fey or medusa/unicorn crossblooded sorcerer if you allow the medusa bloodline as a sorcerer bloodline.

You keep offering up all these games I'm interested in... but then stick to a system that is archaic to me. Hopefully one of these days you'll offer a PF2e game... :-)
I checked out PF2e. And I didn't like all of it. It would be a disservice if I ran PF2e. Not to the players that would play, but for me. Plus there are other reasons, but they are more personal.

With what I have read so far, I am thinking the character I create will belong to one of the nomadic tribes.
I have the choice of tribe narrowed down to two options:
If part of one of the High Desert tribes:
House of Nasr (People of the Eagle)
This tribe roams the northern reaches of the High Desert and maintains the Desert Mosque, a haram (holy site), of great importance to the desert tribe. This enlightened tribe numbers some 3,000 people split into 30 clans, all are known for the hospitialty and prowess with weapons - none more so than their sheikh. Every year a single clan is entrusted to with protecting the Desert Msque. - my character's clan has not been one of the clans chosen to protect the Desert Mosque during since before my character was born.
If part of one of the Haunted Lands tribes:
House of Hanif
House of Hanif numbers some 10,000 people, is powerful enough to send its own ambassador to the Court of Huziz. The tribe controls the region surrounding the Ghost Mountains and the Al-akara Mountains. It also maintains a permanent base in a qul'at that was formerly held by holy slayers, located a day's ride west of Halwa.
Random station roll for being a sorcerer (1d6+4) is: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10.
