Down the Blighted Path

Game Master Mustaparta

Silver Crusade

I'd like to run Down the Blighted Path, 1st edition Module for 5th-level characters. My intent is to choose balanced Party.

All players must use an existing Pathfinder Society character (without modification) within the legal character levels range for the specific sanctioned portion of the adventure being played. Legal levels are 4-6 for Part 1, 5-7 for Part 2 and 6-8 for Part 3.

Silver Crusade

I've got this level 4 PFS character. A straight fighter. I don't have anyone of a higher level.

I am interested in this Module run. I have a plethora of lvl 4-6 characters to contribute to a well rounded party.
Question- does each part offer a full 3 XP? Helps on deciding which character to bring.

Grand Lodge

i have a lvl 6 cleric or a lvl 6 slayer that can do all three...

Oh, I've always wanted to play this one! I've got multiple characters in range- level 5 archery focused medium, level 5 alchemist, level 6 original-flavor summoner, grandfathered in, and a level 6 dwarf barbarian who would be my preferred choice for the RP chances of the setting.

For GM:
I own the adventure but haven't read it; I actually got to design one of the items that's in it so that is part of why I wanna play it :D

Silver Crusade

Yes, each chronicle gives 3 XP. I'll wait until start of next week to see if we can get fifth player.

Sounds good!

Grand Lodge

i'll go with my cleric if you prefer your barb...

So far it looks like
grimdog: Cleric 6
Dien: Barbarian 6
Glorin: Fighter 4
So I either bring an Arcane caster or a Disable Device build depending on if we get a 5th.

Would a pregen be acceptable? :)

Silver Crusade

Do you need more bodies?

I cannot speak for the GM of course but as far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier up to legal table size.

it appears we may have 6 players now.
@ Albion- i would assume you could use a lvl 4 pregen for the first part and then a level 7 pregen for parts 2 and 3.

Official pregens yes. Maximum size is currently six players.

I am also interested, and I would have to use a pregen. Unfortunatley my character that are in range are all......not as fun/useful as pregen since their build haven't come online yet.

I will join with Kess, Brawler level 4, if that is ok.

If grimdog brings a Cleric 6, Dien brings a Barbarian 6, Glorin brings a Fighter 4 and the pregen is a Brawler 4 then i guess i will bring my eldritch scoundrel rogue 6- not the best at arcane but decent enough.

Grand Lodge

my cleric has some offensive upside...fire spells...

Shadow dragon...not a word about what god he worships...

Silver Crusade

At quick glance Shadow Dragon doesn't seem to have anyone on tier. Colin would then get sixth place, have you decided on pregen yet? We have three martial characters, cleric and a rogue.

Arcanist have all knowledge (Arcana+11, all other +8); 3 lv2 spell and 5 lv1 spell per day plus 5 magic missile from staff. No haste at this level so best she can do is glitterdust.

Investigator have all knowledge+8 , and Diplomacy +8; and some extract with infusion.

Alchemist have knowledge arcana and nature +11, and Disable Device +12; same amount of extract with infusion, and 10 bomb per day.

It's a toss up between those three, and personally leaning toward the alchemist for range attack/anti swarm capability, if other can cover the knowledge check......You will die if you can't deal with swarm, failed knowledge check is less lethal in most cases.

If Colin brings the Alchemist then I can switch to a ranged character.

based on the assumption that Colin will bring their alchemist i will bring one of my ranged characters. i will switch it out before the first encounter if need be for party balance.

A standard range character would be helpful if we encounter flying enemies, and lv5 is about the time when paizo start testing your ability to handle flying foes.

That being said, alchemist cannot disable magical trap, so we have to compensate for that should the need arise. Aram Zey's Focus?

Will have the pregen profile ready and dot in tomorrow.

Hey gang,

Given the lack of updates over the past week, I'm going to bow out of this one, as I'm looking for a game that's more active. No hard feelings, and best of luck with the recruitment!

Silver Crusade

To be clear I wanted to give time for players before messaging anyone still missing. Now after going through who's dotted in, were waiting for Grimdog73's cleric.

Grimdog, are you still playing with us?

Grand Lodge

yep...i've been checking in...i had no idea you were waiting on me...thats my bad...i am shamed...i go sit in penalty box...*cue bell of Shame*
