Greetings Pathfinders and Starfinders!
We’re all very excited to announce the upcoming PBP Gameday XIII! I will try to keep this as brief as possible so that folks can find all the information quickly. We will be having adventures of all sizes, including quests, bounties, scenarios, and even the latest multi-table specials!
We welcome Society players and GMs of all experience levels, from grizzled veterans to wide-eyed newcomers.

As of today, GM registration is officially open! In order for your game to count, it must start on or after September 8, 2024 and end on or before November 17, 2024.
If you need scenario support, you must register your game by August 12, 2024.
During this convention, we’ll also be offering the following specials.

How do I sign up to GM?
Go to our GM Registration form. Fill out the form and choose which scenario you would like to GM. Please fill out the form for each separate scenario you wish to run.
How many games can I sign up to GM?
You may only GM one table of one special. You may sign up to GM as many other games as you choose, though we ask that you consider what you can reasonably handle while still providing a great experience for your players and completing all games within the given timeframe. Remember, life happens to the best of us, so please do not commit to maximum capacity.
If this will be your first time GMing PbP or you are still learning the ropes, we strongly recommend that you only do one game at a time. It’s more work than it looks.
What if I want to sign up to GM a Special?
If you wish to GM one of the Specials above please fill out this form. Deadline for submission is July 29, 2024.
In addition, we require that all those who GM a special have some prior experience with GMing Play-by-Post! GMing PBP is fun, but specials are a time-pressured environment inappropriate for learning the techniques of a new format! Instead, GM something else with us, and then apply for the next set of specials we offer.
What do you mean by scenario support?
Paizo will gift you the scenario that you wish to run — if you sign up by our deadline. Not included: APs, Adventures in hardback books (eg:Dark Archives, King Maker Companions), Emerald Spire, or Thornkeep.
If you need scenario support, you must register your game by August 12, 2024.
What if I want to add a game as a GM after the August 12, 2024 Scenario Support Deadline?
That’s fine, you just need to provide your own copy of the adventure.
May I add a game after September 8, 2024, the official start of PBP Gameday XIII?
Yes, you may add a game after the official start of Gameday.Though you must still register your game through the GM Registration for tracking purposes as well as finish the game by the end of Gameday.The Gameday team reserves the right to rule that it is too late to begin a game for convention credit.
How do I sign up to play?
Once we begin to get some submitted games we will create the spreadsheet with all of the games for General Player sign-up on August 15, 2024.This spreadsheet will be posted shortly.
What are the different PBP Lodges?
Will there be boons for Players and GMs?
We expect to be able to offer boons for PFS1 and PACS, plus increased AcP for PFS2 and SFS.
Can I participate if I am new to Play-by-Post?
Certainly! Just let your GMs and Players know.They’ll be glad to help. We also have plenty of resources available to help you prepare, reach out within the appropriate lodge so we know what you need.
When will you open the seats for signup?
We will open up early signup for GMs on August 12, 2024. This is a courtesy for our GMs. GMS, please limit yourself to 1 table of your choice and 1 Special until August 15.
General player signup will open August 15, 2024. Please only sign up for the number of games you can handle. It’s better to enjoy one or two games than to get overwhelmed. Also, please remember other people are excited to play. Even if you are a player who can handle multiple tables, please be considerate and sign up for only a few to begin and allow others time to sign up before you add more.
Wah! Why do you have so few tables of the Special? I won’t get a seat!
Don’t panic! We will be starting with only so many tables each Special. We’re doing this so that we can better respond to demand, and so that we don’t overschedule tables.

You can’t sign up for games now, but you can see all the great tables that are being offered. We’ll update the listing every day or two, so keep an eye out.

I'm excited to give Play by Post a shot, I've never done it before, and it seems weirdly way more intimidating than live play. If any GMs want to steer a PbP novice their way, please reach out and let me know to look our for your tables!
I am always happy to invite new PBP players to my tables over on the Roll for Combat discord. Of course this time around I am focusing on the FF2 playtest, but if you are interested in that, please pop in.
I noticed the Cosmic Captive page says it needs at least 6 tables to run, is that still the case? Do we need more tables for it to fire?
Pretty excited to run for that, I enjoyed playing it a lot in Retrocon 5 years ago.

Hi, I'm Dming PF2, 5-19 a Demonic after party on GM choice/lottery. Please move that game to the FCFS page.
Please re-submit your game as a FCFS and I'll delete the old one.
I signed up to GM a FCFS table of The Great Toy Heist on Paizo. I would like to limit the table to 4 players.
I'll take care of that for you.

I am getting special dispensation to run at 4 tables for this event. Hope things work out.

Third, Monday (8/12/24) you GMs will be able to start grabbing their early seats at one Special table and one regular table.
As noted below, general seating starts on August 15.

So... I don't see either of the PF2e games I THOUGHT I signed up to run. Maybe I didn't hit "Enter" or something. Too late now?
In a related question, I wanted to run two related scenarios, one after the other. Is there a way to indicate that players in the first one have priority for signing up for the second?

I don't have any submissions from a "Tarondor", sorry. You can still sign up to run games, but you are after the cutoff for scenario support so will need to provide your own. You are welcome to register your games for "GM Choice" and just "choose" the same players for the second game. If you go that route, just wait until you are done with your first and ready to run the second before you submit it. Remember that to count for Gameday XIII, the games must finish (or be reasonably close) by the end date.

Open seating is now available for both players and GMs. As always, we ask that you moderate your signups so that you don't overcommit, and be sure to leave some seats open for people that may have to wait a day or two to sign up (Don't be greedy!).
Other than that, I wish you all the best as you pick your tables.

I've just noticed that all the tables for the PF2 special seem to be capped at 5 players. Has the reason for this been made public? I'm just curious because I'm on the wait list.
Table caps will be removed on Monday and players assigned tables as available. The cap was put in place as a stopgap measure in case a GM had to back out and we couldn't find a replacement GM.

Gameday XIII Both low-tier Starfinder Specials "The End Awakens" are still open if anyone is interested.
The End Awakens sign up.
I'd like to report a small error in the GAMEDAY XIII Event Listing Spreadsheet:
In the PFS1 special tab the formulae in column J (Open seats?) do not include the sixth player info.
Therefore, all tables look like they have open seats although some of them are already full.
As the fields in this column are protected I cannot change the formulae (that's good!).
Please correct it. Thanks!

GMs, we have a month left in Gameday XIII play, which should be plenty of time to wrap up those adventures. Hopefully you are in a good place to finish by the Nov 17 end date. Some of you have asked about starting new games between now and Nov 17. The general rule is as long as you can reasonably finish by the end date, go for it. Quests, bounties, and other short-form adventures are good candidates here. We will probably stop accepting new games at the 2-week mark just to make sure games finish on time and players aren’t overly rushed into having bad experiences.
I just wrapped up a scenario and wanted to submit the chronicle. What are the boon rolls? I think a 1 or 20 earns a boon?
Speaking of which, when I entered information in the GP spent section of RPG Chronicles and saved, it just wiped out the information. Is that normal?

Correct: 1 or 20 wins a boon for the PF1 games.
As for the RPGChronicles info disappearing, no, that isn't normal. Please PM me (here or on discord) the link to the RPGC session and I'll look into it.

GMs, with only 2 weeks left in Gameday XIII play, you should be winding down your tables (assuming you aren’t already finished) and getting them ready for reporting by our HQ crew. Hopefully you are in a good place to finish by the Nov 17 end date, but if not, please go ahead and mark your tables Ready for Reporting by Nov 17 so we can wrap up the convention. Then, finish your games as soon as you can. If you need assistance in pushing your game to the finish, please contact your PBP lodge Venture Officers.
