Anyone else not to happy with NO Paizo Panels at GECON this year besides me?

Posted in the Paizo Discord yesterday, NO panels from Paizo this year at GENCON, a few Paizo peeps will be in a couple of other panels , but that is it.

Hopefully this will only be a one off year for this but I can't quite understand this decision.

As there are still a lot of gamers are still moving away from 5th Ed, "they" (WotC) will be returning to GENCON this year in force and with the Remaster going on for Pf II and lack of Starfinder products and such.

I would think at least some panels could/should have been on the boards for this year, but maybe thats just me....

Constructive thoughts people or not a big deal for you all?

A very unhappy Tom (TRDG) And I took my usual vacation for this, SIGH!!! :(

Paizo hasn't been doing panels at several Gen Cons for ages now, right? A streamed event is more inclusive - and doesn't risk anybody catching Covid.

I'm quite happy with online panels; I prefer them.

I have to side with TRDG on this one; it seems overdue for Paizo to start getting back out here to allow gamers to meet with them at conventions and such. It's time.

Wait, didn't the devs say there'd be even more information about the new core books at GenCon? Or did I imagine that?

I think TDRG means in-person panels instead of streams.

Online panel streams are my jam. I honestly wouldn't care if Paizo went fully digital for their panels forever.

Yep, swing on by the Paizo booth and the organized play area to meet an array of Paizo folks. We're happy to sign things, answer questions, and (in my case, certainly) upsell you on just about everything at the store.

I have no particular insight to share about panel decisions; that's the domain of my capable colleagues.

Will there be online panels? And has the schedule been posted?

Hello!

This year the entire marketing team will be at Gen Con. Our meetings with the media and Org Play tables are mostly booked. So, we don't have the capacity to produce multiple days of online streams.

Some, but not all of our staff will be at Gen Con. We will have enough staff to run the booth at the Expo Hall and Organized Play. Because our staff will be split up, we are prerecording a few videos to play on YouTube and Twitch. This way we can reach all of you, regardless of attendance.

We will all be opting to mask up while on site.

We have Gen Con blogs and a landing page planned to guide you in the days to come.

Thanks for playing Pathfinder and Starfinder!

Removed a lot of off topic conversations to prevent things from going too far off the rails. The question has been asked and answered and therefore this thread will be locked.
