PDF Availability

I've heard from another source that a PDF for this will not be made available to people who did not back this, that Paizo will not be selling a PDF copy when it goes on sale on Oct 26th. Is that accurate or was this source incorrect? I only play via VTT so that would be a huge bummer.

That would be a strange outlier from the way Paizo has conducted its business for the past decade. I wouldn't say its impossible, but I consider it highly unlikely.

Paizo has said that they will not be offering the pdf free to subscribers as they usually do because it was a backer project. Nothing about not selling the pdf. VTT version is not going to be available until sometime next year last I heard though.

Will a PDF still be available for purchase on paizo.com on 26 Oct or later? Not going out to subscribers for free I get. I think my concern was they weren't offering it for sale at all.

They will definitely offer PDF versions of the products. I don't know who your source is, but there has been nothing to indicate PDF exclusivity in the campaign or anywhere else.

It's just that backers got their PDFs early.

As a backer, I can tell you that we have the PDFs already. Apparently this time the PDFs were completely disconnected from physical product shipping.

Given that Paizo has never done that before, and said they never will to preserve relations with FLGSs…

Not David, but here's my experience as a backer: I received an email from "Paizo Goblins" on 8/31 with the subject line "Get Your Kingmaker PDFs today!". It contained a link to the redemptions page and the redemption code I should enter into the site. Then all of them were added to my Paizo digital content here.

Because it trips some people up: PDFs are not included with Paizo physical purchases outside of being a Subscriber to a product line. Hope that helps!

I'm a tier 1 subscribe with 4 active subscriptions. I bought all the kingmaker 2e stuff, and I have received a physical copy of everything I ordered, but I seem to have no Access to PDFs.

Do I have to wait until October 26 to get access, Am I missing something, or am I not getting them?

Can I get a official answer, please?

Also, Any word on when HeroLabs will have the Kingmaker 2e rules?

In general, you only get a free PDF when your physical product ships if you are a current subscriber to that product line. That means that you, particularly, only get PDFs from Rulebooks, Accessories, Lost Omens, and Adventure Path products. If you were, for example, to pre-order something from the Maps product line, you would not get a free PDF.

You also would not be able to order a PDF of that product until street date, just like everyone else.

The Kingmaker product line is working exactly the same way: If you were a backer of the Kickstarter you got your PDF along with your physical product, like being a subscriber.

If you did not back the Kickstarter, you are not a "subscriber" and you have to wait until street date to order the PDF versions of the physical copies. Pre-ordering the physical copies from Paizo does not make you a backer/subscriber.

I can't answer anything about HeroLabs, but if you were a backer, you should have gotten an email around August 31 with the subject "Get your Kingmaker PDFs" or similar that had a redemption code. If you purchased the Kingmaker stuff via pre-order, I don't think the PDFs are included and need to be purchased separately.
