Was just making sure, actions would change if people were still asleep
Upon hearing the knocking at the door, he takes Kendra by the hand, and heads cautiously to the door making sure she's behind him. Once he gets within about ten feet of the door, he calls out "Whose there? It's the middle of the night ya know". He silently prepares himself to cast a spell in order to defend them. Readying an action to cast Color Spray if whatever is at the door is hostile
Domli Forgearm
Man that stinks, lol. Ok, since I'm at 0 hp I'm not considered bleeding to death or unconscious yet, correct? I think I still get one action before falling unconscious. If I'm not then I'll cast CLW on myself. If I am I may need to reroll. Probably my fastest death ever, lol.
(If option exists) CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
(If option does not exist) STABILIZE: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

At zero hp you may make a stabilization roll at dc 10 to become conscious, until then you are unconscious but stable. Since you didn't make that you may make another each round until you awaken or until 1d10 minutes, at which point you wake immediately. Waiting on everyone else to say what they're doing before advancing.

Forgot to mention that this is particularly because of the books influence, not normal rules.

The silence at the door is ominous, but is broken quickly.
BANG!!
Something is slamming at the door, hard. The wood buckles inward a bit, but holds.
BANG!!
A plank breaks off, revealing a gruesome arm clenched into a fist on the other side. As Akydi lets loose with his spell, the creature seems to not even slow as it raises it's hand to strike again.
Poor Akydi, it's immune.
Akydidyka Serrin de Aptal
Akydi backs further away from the door, clearly whatever is out there is not something he can handle on his own. If there's any furniture that he can throw in the way of the door, he'll do so. The entire time, he makes sure to keep himself between the door and Kendra.
Ama Freewater
The scream he missed, but the sound of wood breaking woke him up, though at first he was confused about the noise, one of those moments of disorientation where he was fairly certain that where he was was not where he thought he would be, and the chain of memories that brought him here had to be found before it all came back, and he got up quickly.
Something was going on downstairs.
It took a few seconds to pull on his breeches, and he hastened downstairs, shocked into wakefulness at seeing Akydi looking worriedly at the door. "Locals drunk 'gain?", he asked.
Ryuko
Since this seems to be going a bit slow, I'll point out: In combat, if you don't post in 24 hours I'll NPC your character for that round.
The creature finally makes a hole big enough to strain through. To your horror you see that it's the Professor, his mouth and throat crushed beyond recognition, but his eyes and fringe of hair unmistakable. His flesh is beginning to rot, distend, and fall away. As he climbs through the door it is obvious that he recognizes none of you, and that he has every intention of killing you.
Zombie professor 20 ft away down a 10 ft wide hallway, has a table between you and him.
Initiative Block:
Akydi:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Ama:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Reyelle:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Domli:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Olav:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Enemy:1d20 ⇒ 4
Order is Everyone but Olav, Zombie, Olav. Domli, you can make a check to regain consciousness, otherwise you'll wake in 1d10 ⇒ 10 Minutes or 100 Rounds. I hope you make your check by then lol.
Reyelle
"Dear gods, is that the professor?" Eyes wide in terror, Reyelle stumbles backward. Realizing she is weaponless she quickly scans the immediate area for something to defend herself with. Deciding on a nearby chair, Reyelle hefts the seat in front of her holding it in a defensive manner. "Kendra it looks like your father has become some kind of undead abomination. We're gonna need the cleric. DOMLI! Get your behind in here!" Reyelle calls out in a frightened tone.
Movement Action: 5' step back, pick up chair
Standard Action: Full Defense (AC 17)
BTW - I'm assuming Reyelle is unarmored and weaponless since she just woke up. How far is my room?
Domli Forgearm
STABILIZE: 1d20 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 - 1 = 10
+1 for CON, -1 for hp modifier.
YAY STABLE!
Domli wakens with a gasp. Wide eyed and in terror he stares hard at the blood covering himself.
CURE LIGHT WOUNDS (self): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Hearing Reyelle's scream he runs downstairs. As Domli eyes the gruesome arm sticking through the door he raises his holy symbol. "GO BACK FROM WHENCE THOU CAME, FOUL BEAST!!"
Akydidyka Serrin de Aptal
Akydi continues to move Kendra further away from the door and the undead abomination that her father has become. "I swear Professor, nothing untoward is going on tween your daughter and I...yet" He says the last word in a whisper, just loud enough for Kendra to hear.and I suppose anybody else who might be close
Dipping into one of his pockets he pulls out a dagger and holds it in hand, ready to throw if he must.
Ama Freewater
Ever the one to take humor where it may be found, Ama glanced over his shoulder at Akydi. "Th'ell'd y'do to th'girl t'bring 'er father back from th'grave?!", he said in an amazed tone. Raising his hands, he got set to attempt to repel whatever was wearing her father's skin. A couple of steps put him in the doorway, intervening between it and Akydi. 'This is why I wanted to leave Ustalav and never come back', he thought to himself.
Move to put himself first between the door and the others, Standard action to fight defensively.(AC17)

Sorry to be slow, long day.... as for weapons/armor, I could allow that you grabbed a weapon as you left the room (being adventurers and all, you likely have them at hand) but you would be armorless. Reyelle, your room is about 40 feet away, through the house.
The Professors body steps into the hall and shambles to the table. He looks down at it incomprehending, and tries to walk through it, bumping against it a couple times. He makes a disgusting and frightening gurgling sound from what used to be his throat, but nothing discernable.
Stupid staggered... he's gonna take a bit.
Ryuko
Forgot the big guy
Olav comes snorting awake and steps into the hall, wearing only an uncomfortably small set of underpants. "What's this?" He looks around bleary eyed for a moment. Then grabs his axe from inside the room. "You undead abomination. Get the hell outta the Professor!" He roars in rage.
Reyelle
Sorry for the delay.
Horrified by the Professor's appearance, Reyelle stands back hoping that someone would have a solution to his malady. "What should we do? I don't want to hurt thte Professor, but if that thing gets any closer I'm gonna clobber it with this chair!"
Standard Action: Take Full Defense (AC 17)
Olav the Grim
"It ain't the Professor!" Olav grits his teeth and growls sharply. "Get the hells out of here you abomination. This ain't no place for the likes of you!" Gritting his teeth sharply, Olav spits at the corpse before him.
Linnorm Spit-1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 101d6 ⇒ 3
Domli Forgearm
Closing his eyes for only a moment and speaking a soft prayer Domli focuses on his holy symbol. A blast of divine energy shoots around him.
-----Sun Domain: Sun's Blessing (Su); Whenever you channel positive energy to harm undead creatures, add your cleric level to the damage dealt. Undead do not add their channel resistance to their saves when you channel positive energy.
Ryuko
Hectic days coming fast and furious right now. How annoying, sorry guys.
The professor watches Reyelle wave the chair with dead eyes, and then slams a hand into the table blocking him, crushing it with one clean blow, and steps between the two severed pieces. He seems to take no notice of the wooden slivers that poke from the flesh of his arm.
Professor breaks table, 5 ft steps forward. Is now 10 ft from Ama, who is closest, with the rest of you behind.
Will Save:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
The professor seems hardly slowed by Domli's energy as it channels into him, and Ama steps forward to keep the crew safe. "Sorry Professor, but I ain't lettin' ya hurt 'em." He says as he unleashes a flurry of blows.
1d20 ⇒ 7
1d20 ⇒ 10
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Both of Ama's fists seem to hardly graze the Professor, but immediately after Olav spits past him and a freezing glob hits the zombie, who staggers back.
Zombie Wounds: 6
Olav the Grim
"What we do lass, is get young Kendra back in to her room first off!" Olav strides forward, placing himself before the Zombie.
"I'll hold him here Master Freewater, you go get your weapons!"
Can I ready an action to lash out at the Zombie if he threatens me or another of the group I can reach?
Akydidyka Serrin de Aptal
Akydi hurls his dagger at the Professor, then will try and make his way with Kendra further away from the combat. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 dagger attack. 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 dagger damage. Standard action to attack, then move action to try to move Kendra back towards her room
Ryuko
You can indeed Olav.
Kendra, Reyelle and Akydi move back, after Akydi throws the daggger, which thunks impressively into the Professor's chest, but doesn't even seem to slow him. The zombie charges forward to strike out at Olav.
Charge Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 For 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Olav's Readied Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 For 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Olav takes a big and nasty hit from the Professor balled fist, but gives back one that knocks the zombie to the ground. As it falls to the side it's head cracks the wall and it stops moving.
The threat ended, Kendra comes out a bit from behind Akydi and begins to cry, obviously distraught over having to see her father this way.
Olav the Grim
Grimacing, Olav wipes the back of his hand across his mouth, cleaning off the blood from the Zombies attack, before propping his axe against the wall. He turned and made his way back to his room, grabbing the sheet off of the bed and returning, crouching down by the fallen body. "May have been an undead abomination but tis still the vessel the Professor once inhabited..." He whispers softly, before raising his voice. "Master Freewater, would'n you be so kind and help me here? Master Forgearm, your talents could be useful too!" Olav crouched and began to wrap the corpse up in the sheet, as delicately as he could.
Ama Freewater
Ama lowered his hands, nodding at Olav to silently compliment his skill with the weapon, coming over to help Olav wrap the Professor's body. This was another reason he did not like Ustalav. There were too many dark things going on in this place that were just not right. "Oi'm thinkin' we've gotta burn th'body now.." Ama took a look over his shoulder at the now-smashed door, and frowned. There was something going on here that he knew nothing about, and he disliked that.
Reyelle
Reyelle gently returns the chair to its place next to the table. Standing aside as Olav wraps the Professor's corpse, she curiously inspects the bodies mysterious wounds. "Didn't you say the Professors demise was due to some type of accidental collapse while exploring Harrowstone? These wounds look as if something or someone tore your fathers throat out. I'm begining to think there might be some foul play involved with your fathers death Kendra, and whoever is behind it probably had something to do with his recent animation. I know this is a rough time for you but in order for us to protect you, we need to know if the Professor had any enemies. Can you think of anyone in particular, who would want to harm him?"
Olav the Grim
"Aye. I be thinking you are right Master Freewater. It be the only thing to do I believe. We have that there old wood we took off the deck. We can get Master Forgearm to Sanctify it and nobody need be the wiser..."
Olav nods to the Dwarf as he grabs him by the jaw, his eyes going wide as a warm breeze ripples through his body. "Thank you Master Forgearm. That is twice you have blessed me with your Patrons powers. I be appreciating that a lot!" Olav bows slightly to the Dwarf before crouching again, indicating the Cleric to join him and Ama.
"We be thinking we should burn the Professors Corpse, Master Forgearm, to stop any more mischief being done to it. Would you sanctify and officeate over this here procedure? We have the materials, we can do it tonight, when Kendra goes to her bed!"
Ryuko
Heal Checks while looking over the wound.
Olav:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Domli:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Reyelle:1d20 ⇒ 12
Ama:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Akydi:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Domli, looking over the body as they ready to consecrate and burn it, finds that Reyelle's claim is certainly wrong. The mouth and throat have been destroyed by something crushing it, though certainly not a weapon. Ama notices something even more odd. Despite the ghastly wound, it doesn't seem to have bled much, if at all. It seems as if the Professor's heart may have stopped beating before the item crushed his neck.
The cremation is finished without incident, with those watching holding sad eyes to thier grim work. As you return to your beds each of you feels that this is not likely to be the end to the troubles stemming from the professor's death.
The next day is a bit cloudy, but still nice. Kendra sleeps very late, likely exhausted after the nights events. Domli is happy to find that he awakes fresh and hardy, without any blood on his sheets this time.
Full night's sleep for everyone, any resource not used in the fight with the zombie are back and 1 hp to everyone. Actions for the day? Or discussion of said actions?
Akydidyka Serrin de Aptal
The Varisian helps Kendra up to his room, figuring that it might best for her to sleep in a room with out magickal writings on the wall. He then goes back downstairs and makes himself a late night snack before passing out in a chair where he'll remain until somebody comes and manages to wake him.
Ama Freewater
Despite the events of the night, Ama feels safer when the sun is up, and years of work have him up with the sun again, intending to fix the door and see what was left to be completed with the house. As long as the others were looking up, reading, or searching for clues about things he really did not want to know about, he was going to work on the things that did make sense to him. So, the early morning's rays found him outside and ready for more work, resolute on seeing the work finished.
Ryuko
All right then, let's move this forward.
After waking Akydi, the group heads out to the false crypt mentioned in the professor's journal. The day is cool and the august winds brush dead leaves around the graves. The gate is still shut, its tampered with lock seems to be untouched. Inside a staircase stretches into the darkness.
Actions?
Akydidyka Serrin de Aptal
Before leaving for the day, Akydi draws a card from his Harrow deck. Activating Harrowed feat 1d6 ⇒ 6 which is Charisma. I will not yet be using my tattoo just yet
Looking at the gate, and the staircase beyond, he says "Allow me to summon up some light, though uh, somebody else can go in first." Casting Dancing Lights choosing the four globes version.
Ryuko
The crypts walls hold nothing in the niches meant for the dead, though as a crypt near the center of the graveyard it should have been filled years ago.
The room at the bottom of the steps is very dusty and empty, with only 2 large gargoyle statues, one on either wall.
Akydidyka Serrin de Aptal
Akydi will send one of the globes of light to aid Rey in her search. Before she goes to check the door, he'll grant her a tiny portion of his destined luck to help her out."Here ya go my dear, perhaps this will increase your chances of finding anything unpleasant." Using Touch of Destiny on Rey
Olav the Grim
Olav found himself up and about a small while after the sun. Restless, he moved about the house. This was not the place for him. He needed to be home with his family. 'I'll do my duty. Professor deserved that from old Olav atleast!'
As the group begins to head off, Olav runs up to his room and prepares his gear, before returning.
"Could be you could be needing some muscle. I be a tad restless, may I join?"
Sorry, was away this week with no Internet. I'll skip ahead to where the group is.
Olav follows along grimly, his axe swinging restlessly in his hands. A shiver runs through his spine. Scared? Never! The large Ulfen man is merely excited to finally be of a bit of use!
