I've been using Hero Forge for a few months now. For when I just need that specific mini that I can't seem to find anywhere. I also use it in my VTT games make custom tokens.
But... I have to say. Their customer service is top notch. I had a problem with one of my orders. I emailed them. They took about less than a day to investigate it. Then they wrote back. Said I'd get a replacement sent immediately, and no further action was needed by me.
I mean... I can't say enough great things about Hero Forge's products. And just wanted to let everyone know they were also very professional. Check them out!

I like the detail available in the custom minis. But I was less than impressed by the paint job on my last figure.
1) I placed a 'glass' color, which is supposed to be shiny on the Tengu's beak (I think they called it a Raven Man) because the character actually waxes and buffs his beak as a quirk. The paint on the figure was dull matt black instead of glossy/shiny black. So... glass colors don't come out shiny, as shown when coloring a figure.
2) The Tengu was holding a katana that was given a light bronze color. The figure as delivered had a katana that was a bronze color about halfway down the blade. After that it lightened in color until it was plain white at the tip.
I don't know about you guys, but my (one) experience with using their custom painting was only so so.

Had kind of that with my Half-Orc Cleric I ordered. Part of the issue is that it's not a paint job but printing in different color plastics. The Shines of metal and such don't seem to translate too well, so his armor instead of looking metallic was Grey with White Spots.
Flip side, my Bounty hunter in Leathers looks great.

Let me know if there's a better place for this question.
I've made many Hero Forge miniatures of npcs and some creatures from Pathfinder adventure path modules. For example, I have the full crew of the Wormwood from Skull & Shackles, The Wormwood Mutiny.
If I'm in no way selling anything, as far as Paizo copyright concern goes, am I allowed to post pictures of my versions of those Paizo characters on a forum open to the public? Or is that forbidden?
Is there some avenue of asking permission?
I realize I would also need to speak with Hero Forge.

Sorry, completely misread your post. Disregard what I crossed out, below.
I would think posting pictures of them would be fine. It's like if you bought a car and then posted a picture of it.
I don't know why you would need to ask for permission from Paizo. Their copyright is for their description of the NPCs, and you're posting your interpretation of it, which is different. Plus, I don't see it as any different than fan art.
I'm also not sure why'd you need to talk to Hero Forge. You bought the product. It is yours now. You're not sharing any information that will cause people to not use Hero Forge's service.
I see "for sale" threads frequently, and it doesn't seem like they get deleted, so I think they're fine as long as they don't get too spammy.
Usually, I see them the Off-Topic or Gamer Life forums, but sometimes I see them 3.5/d20/OGL forum or a more specific forum if what's for sale is relevant.

While this does not negate a need to get the product as you ordered it, you could probably buy a bottle of acrylic gloss varnish (such as Citadel's 'Ardcoat) and dab it on where you need it to be shiny.
I've thought about ordering minis to paint myself from them. Sounds like they are worth ordering from at least as far as customer service goes.
