Did you instead decided to get any interesting new ( not listed ) lore?
I am going to play with the Time Traveller bg as well as the gnome Obsession ( working on 1 of the 3 lores granted by the bg ), but since it's the first time I get to use more than the bg lore, I don't really know what to use.
I thought about
Underworld ( going to be legendary )
Games ( trained )
Heraldry ( trained )
Fiends ( Legendary )
but it's just some first hand stuff, so I am just looking for new interesting stuff.

Pathfinder Lore/PFS Lore
Most especially if playing in PFS with all those adventures tied into past and current PFS exploits and interests.
This could be phrased as Lore for a type of organization, which would apply to Whispering Way, the Aspis Consortium, and whomever else might be pertinent to one's gaming.

Yup, that's the best way to maximize Lore. Figure out what's relevant to your specific story and then milk that lowered DC. Scarlet Triad Lore, Xulgath Lore, Ironfang Legion Lore, Runelord Lore, Thrune Lore...

Yes and with feats like Ancestral Longevity, Ageless Spirit, Eclectic Obsession, Consult the Stars. You can change to other skills as you go.

Though of note is that the GM decides if you are allowed to take a Lore or not, they may think you don't have the means to know so much about the Scarlet Triad without research or something.

Indeed. I tried to take Lore : BBEG in Abomination Vaults once we learned a bit about them, to represent my Investigator investing time and money investigating their past history, well-known associates, usual modus operandi... Sadly, the GM said No.

Which is an interpretation on the part of your GM but a reasonable one. If you had chosen a slightly more reasonable category, say Undead Lore or Aberrant Lore or Monsters of Korthos he probably would have let you.

I dunno, Lores are meant to be narrow, and the BBEG in question is a well known figure in both folklore and nobility. Becoming an expert in a single historical figure is completely possible-- that just makes you a biographer. Mechanically, all a lore that specific would usually do is offset the DC adjustment of unique enemies.

For me its in the wording. Abomination Vaults is not reasonably known about prior to the adventure. BBEG is, the Lighthouse is - so in my opinion those should work.
Also BTW these are not spoilers as they are in the players guide.| PossibleCabbage |
My rule is "you can have a lore in literally anything you can describe that's sufficiently narrow". Like "Monster Lore" or "Everything Lore" are too broad, but "Millinery Lore" and "Tinsmith Lore" and "Aztlanti Poet Lore" and "Dishwashing Lore" and "Petit Four Lore" are all fine with me.
The more obscure and irrelevant you make your lore of choice, the harder I'm going to work to make it come up somehow.

I meant Lore : BBEG ;-)
And my Investigator was Known weaknesses focused, so lots of Lore : creature type :-D
