Hey all --
I am seeking your advice here. For a while now, I have been pretending that uncommon spells and items simply do not exist in my universe. But as I have gained ACP, I have started thinking about spending it on getting access to fun spells and interesting items from the Grand Bazaar or elsewhere.
What uncommon spells and items have you particularly loved? Any that you see as worthy of a 20 or 30 ACP point purchase? Tell me all about them! I want to go shopping!

Sudden Bolt (from Extinction Curse) is a lovely little single target damage spell at lowish levels.

Oh I like Sudden Bolt. I may have to acquire that one for my Arcane witch. Or for that druid I have been contemplating... Someone will have to try that one out.
Protection is occult as well as divine, so that might be good for Teki, Goddess of Unlikely and Forgotten Heroes, my blessed one bard who has declared herself a Starstone aspirant. I like getting 'divine' feeling spells on her.
I will forgo the spiked chain for the moment, but I agree that it is excellent flavor for the right character.
Any other suggestions?

I could see picking up magical fetters from Agents of Edgewatch. Especially since it comes with Admonishing Ray as a free bonus. (Admonishing Ray isn't particularly powerful, but its nonlethal nature still makes it appealing for some characters to take).
Zero Gravity is also a little tempting as a fun spell, but it's 6th level, so I wouldn't be picking it up for laughs in the near future of PFS.

Can you get Sudden Bolt without playing the AP?
I am playing that Adventure Path under Blake's Tiger in Play-by-Post. Sometime soon we will finish the first volume and then I can take a look at it. None of the characters I am considering it for are close to the level where they could take it yet, so I can wait!

The Guns and Gears Avid Collector boons are fun because you choose one item and all your characters get access, while the Grand Bazaar boons give one character access to all items from a specific store.
Personally, I've used those boons to help out my various shield builds with ablative shield plating from Avid Collector - Gears Gadgets, and to help out my sword-n-board flame druid with a wovenwood shield (and hopefully eventually a wand of fey flames) from Frequent Shopper - Relics and Remembrance.
I've been looking into picking up a pantograph gauntlet from Avid Collector - Gears Weapons and a bomb launcher from Avid Collector - Gears Combat Gear, but I don't have the concepts in mind quite yet for them.
I've also been considering a leshy cleric of Ravithra, using the Agents of Edgewatch - Mother of Nagas and Agents of Edgewatch - Esoteric Spellcaster boons to get imp sting, admonishing ray, and the naga domain. Poison isn't treacherous if you tell them what the poison is, right? :P

I have heard a lot of people like the aeon stone that gives 1 hp/min healing, it's a decent out of combat option if your local lodge doesn't have an overabundance of healing.
(I've never purchased one because my local lodge(s) tend to have an overabundance of healing so I don't feel bad going into scenarios with only a minor healing potion and a lot of trust in my fellow players.)

The Agents of Edgewatch boon that gives you admonishing ray is really sweet because you get a non-lethal spell, And you get another uncommon spell as well.
One of the Grand Bazaar shops has a Fanged rune which allows you to turn into an animal when you stick your weapon into your mouth. Mechanically, it's practically speaking useless with lots of drawbacks and no benefits, but there are some funny things you can do with it [insert meme: Goose with a knife in it's beak, "peace was never an option"] and you can use it to circumvent the anadi "can't use a weapon while in spider form" limitation (by taking your humanoid shape, then activating the rune, and turning into a 'slightly different spider shape').
If you have a character that uses shadow magic and likes to create areas of dimlight or darkness, clockwork goggles (from Gears gadget boon) is a relatively cheap way to help your allies deal with your magic - I bought a bunch of darkvision elixirs before these were available, but once those have been consumed by my allies, I'll be equipping them with the goggles to help them mitigate my cloak of shadows focus spell.

Why would you buy clockwork goggles instead of continuing to buy darkvision elixirs? The goggles are more expensive and have a shorter duration. They can be worn, but take one more action to activate than the elixirs and also require a free hand, so there's no benefit there either. Both are single use consumables as well.

The goggles are cheaper (3gp vs 6gp) and the difference in duration (1min vs 10min) does not make a difference (They'll last through the combat anyway) for the specific purpose of the Cloak of Shadows focus spell I mentioned (or any other low-light inducing effect). This comes with the assumption that you aren't swimming in gold, and thus you'll ask your allies to activate the goggles/drink the potion only when needed, and not prior to combat just in case they might use it.
If you're going to conjure up actual darkness, then yes, the potion is better - otherwise, equipping the few of your allies that don't have low light vision with the goggles in case you get ambushed by human bandits (or other non-lowlight vision enemies) so that you can effectively grant Blur (concealed) to the whole party with just 1 action is pretty sweet ^_^
At higher levels, the built-in see invisibility can be handy too.
