Hey all.
I'm not sure this is a Pathfinder question, as I really can't remember where I saw this idea.
Anyway, there is/was a class I saw once, that was based around tactics, strategy, and battlefield control.
The key ability I remember was the ability to call up a virtual game board, like a hologram of the battlefield, and was then able to manipulate things using it as a focus.
I feel it was probably 3rd party material. I just can't for the life of me remember where I saw it.
Any ideas, all?
Cheers.

Do you know what mechanics were used to manipulate the battlefield? Like if it was tied to Telekinesis or Illusion or something like that?
Did the class/archetype do anything else that you remember?
I cannot think of anything with a hologram map that interacts with the environment in real time. There is a Bard archetype, the Geisha, that can use her Tea Party as a way to establish strategy before an encounter. The Blackjack Fighter has an ability called Blackjack Tactics that can also be used before an encounter. But neither of those abilities manipulate the environment, they just provide typical Bard buffs or teamwork feats.

I recall something like this, but I think you may want to go hunting in 4e D&D. What you're describing sounds very familiar. I believe that what your talking about is one of the build types of the psychic class, either in the Player's Handbook 3, or possibly the Psionic Powers book.
If not that, then this may have been something from White Wolf's Mage games. Either way, I know I've seen the exact mechanics you're describing.
Good luck.

Thanks, all.
I've never played 4e, so I doubt I would have been scrounging around that content.
Definitely possibly a psionic class.
And possibly 3.5.
And, sadly, I don't remember much else. It didn't seem to fit into any worlds I was playing in, so I never really paid it much heed.
Again, I appreciate the response!
