There’s one in the pawns for the upcoming Bestiary 3 and I’m thrilled about it! Here’s hoping it means we see them back as an Ancestry soon, especially if we head back to Arcadia (where they’re relatively common).

That is really cool!! Good catch! I remember reading up on them from first edition and thinking they were really cool

As they are technically constructs, I would imagine that they will be a heritage for the automaton ancestry in Guns & Gears. It doesn't really fit the theme of the book, though, so it might come in a later one.

I noticed that, too. Wyrwoods, Gathlain, Ghoran, and the remaining Common Tian Xia ancestries (Nagaji, Samsaran, Vanara, and Vishkanya). I'm looking forward to it.

Nice :D Seems like we won't just get the cool monsters back in bestiary 3, it really seems like we are getting all sorts of nice content from all six bestiaries(and some ap and new stuff included too!)

Edit: Checked pawns and HOLY CRAP WE ARE GETTING NEW SIKTEMPORA

Edit edit: Also ye forgot wayang from list of tian xian ancestries in the pawn box x'D Plus Vishkaniya I think are more of Casmaron ancestry maybe?

The construct ancestry you are thinking of is called Automaton, and Automatons are actually their own thing: Wyrwood were created by azlanti, Automatons are Jistkan Imperium secret "upload your mind to robot body" project

yeah wyrwoods and automatons are completely different creatures.

I know it's called automaton, that's why I wrote it. It's even right there in the quote ^^.

While it might just be the remnants of the Jistka Empire (aka the only example of automatons we know of so far), we already have two things with a wider scope - the beastkin heritage and the fleshwarp. I wouldn't be surprised if they expand the scope to other souled/living constructs.

I admit, it is a bit of s stretch, as they do not share the same "magitech" theme, but it isn't totally impossible. But you are right, this is probably not going to happen this way.

Nice catch! My homebrew campaign will feature stuff from the Dimension of Time so these'll be very useful to me.

Samsarans are probably my most-wanted Ancestry now that we have Androids again, so that’s very exciting!

Hopefully there are more Time creatures in B3 because there is only one right now.
