Hey all, looking for opinions and the like on the following concept-
A barbarian (titan mauler) that Two weapon fights with two-handed weapons. The following is a rough outline for the build- levels 1-5 you would be using a two-handed weapon as per normal
Comes online at level 6-7, hits peak 12-15
race- half orc
ability scores: (assume 25pt)
Str: 17+2+1(at 4) 20
Dex: 16
Con: 14
Int: 08
Wis: 13
Cha: 7
Feats-
1- Power attack (?) or weapon focus
3- Two weapon fighting
5- Double slice
7- Improved TWF
Rage powers:
Reckless abandon
Lesser beast totem
beast totem
Wield butchering axes
assuming a belt of strength, and +1 weapons each
To hit while raging-
7+8+1 for a +16
a full attack would look like-
+12/12/+8/+8
at 3d6+15 each.
eventually, they would use large impact butchering axes for 6d6 a hit (without penalty)
the to hit is lowish, and I was wondering (outside of weapon focus at level 9) on ways to increase it further?

I don't think you can. Jotungrip is pretty specific that it only works with weapons sized appropriately for you.
To hit while raging-
7+8+1 for a +16
What level are you getting this?
-4 Two Weapon Fighting and -2 Jotungrip
+5 Strength +2 Rage +1 Weapon Focus

Yeah I often confuse the Titan Mauler Barbarian archetype with the TITAN FIGHTER Fighter archetype. They have simar themes and similar names, so it's fairly easy to do.
On level of Titan Fighter with Titan Mauler should let you TWF with Large Butchering Axes, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Of course then you're taking -4 (Titan Mauler), -4 (Two--Weapon-Fighting), -2 (Titan Fighter) for a total of -10 to hit on all attacks. Reckless Abandon helps but ... you need a lot of help for that.

Well, how would you feel if you were using 2 Sledge Hammers instead of 2 Butchering Axes? A Sledge Hammer is an Improvised Weapon that does damage like an Earthbreaker: 2d6. Because it's an Improvised Weapon, you can use Shikigami Style Feats. Each one of the 3 Feats make your Improvised Weapon Inflict Damage as if it were 1 Size bigger. As a Titan Fighter Fighter, you can use a Size Large Sledge Hammer to star with. As a Titan Mauler Barbarian, you can use 2. Add that to Enlarge Person, like 5 Size Increases, 3 Virtual, 1 Actual, and 1 because you are allowed to start with a bigger one (two!) to begin with.
If we can fit all that together, that's 10d6 Damage/weapon. Honestly, I suspect Great Cleave, Vital Strike, and Attacks of Opportunity with a single weapon would work better than 2WF with 2 of them, but if you want maximum ridiculosity with 2 Weapon Fighting, I think that's the way to go.
Of course then you're taking -4 (Titan Mauler), -4 (Two--Weapon-Fighting), -2 (Titan Fighter) for a total of -10 to hit on all attacks. Reckless Abandon helps but ... you need a lot of help for that.
Continued levels in Titan Fighter Fighter will reduce the oversized weapon penalties.
There are traits. Giant Blooded--I think--reduces by half the penalty for oversized weapons. Surprise Weapon--again, I think--gives you a +2 on attack rolls with Improvised Weapons. Those penalties will still be too big for what I think is an optimized character, but that doesn't exactly seem to be rorek55's goal.

Played a Titan Mauler Tower Shield Specialist fighter, It worked although the minus from Jotung Grip and using a Tower Shield did hurt. At fifth level fighter I lose the one minus two and rage and Weapon Focus offset the other. I was pretty effective all things considered. This was also before the introduction of Armor Master's Handbook and The Butchering Axe.
Side note even though it is an Orc Butchering Axe by RAW it's not an Orc weapon so you need to clear that with your GM or spend a feat for Exotic WP.

Why would it? Jötungrip says "The weapon must be appropriately sized for her", I don't see any way around that.
It's more of a meme/funny idea, just looking to make it not garbo
What you have to realize is that it would be better to just use a single weapon. A Barbarian can bear the penalty from non-light TWF and Jötungrip, and even from Power Attack, thanks to Rage, Reckless Abandon, and Furious weapon enchantment, but it's still not worth it. With Power Attack you'd even be in a situation where dropping one weapon and two-handind the other increases full attack damage even when it renders three feats useless. That puts the character in a club with the Fighter pregen char...

To clarify this, it's not an "Orc Butchering Axe" at all. Just "butchering axe". It was explicitly made to not benefit from Weapon Familiarity.
