How long is the adventure in the beginners box

Pathfinder Beginner Box

I told my players that for my 30th birthday i want to be a player in a one shot. I wanted to give them a pfs scenario to make it easier for them but the beginners box might be an even better fit. Is the adventure one shot style or multiple sessions?

Liberty's Edge

Our usual PFS GM will have us play it in 2 sessions of at least 4 hours each. Which makes it equivalent to 2 PFS scenarios.

I ran the Beginner Box adventure for a group who was done in about two shorter sessions that lasted about 3 hours each.

There are 19 encounters, broken up into 2 levels of dungeon. There's a good stopping place when you finish the first level.

And the new adventure Troubles in Otari starts at level 2 and picks up where the box set leaves off. Just in case you wanted to keep it going.

And happy birthday!

Thanks for all the answers :)

Um, yeah, the boss battle at the end of the adventure is basically a TPK factory. Good luck.

It may not finish in one night, but if it's your first PF2 adventure it's the best introduction! And if it's the first time your friends play PF2 it's the best way to get them to love the system. (And that's a great gift!)

SO for Society Play, can the beginner Box be done in two 4 hour sessions?

And what level will characters be at the end?

Yes. They should reach level two.
