So everyone is in the early stages as just yesterday a friend is switching her 5e game to an agents of edgewatch adventure. I do not know what everyone is playing. I heard maybe cleric and lizardman fighter i think.
Looking for a fun concept/build as new ideas come slow to me. I do know we will be using the rule for archetype feats.

What do monk and investigator get from each other by multiclassing?
Sadly, not much. Monk's advantages tend to be tied into Flurry of Blows while Investigator's tend to be tied to making one big attack, so there's not a lot of synergy in the combat styles.

I could see a bit of synergy, but really only if you were desiring to play a more mobile, unarmed investigator, perhaps trying to emulate Sherlock Holmes' fighting style of "Baritsu."

There might be at least 1 investigator, given the AP ( also, the TS seemed unsure about the classes ).
If there's no investigator, I'd also go with it.
Otherwise, I'd probably stick with a Rogue with the Mastermind racket ( or eventually, the scoundrel one ).
For my Edgewatch character, I went Rogue (Thief) with a Multiclass in Alchemist to make a Forensic Pathologist/MD and CSI guy who can hold his own in combat.

Huh, my Edgewatch character is also a Forensic Pathologist. I went Investigator (Forensic Medicine) into Medic with plans to pick up Alchemist later on.
He's a big ol' grumpy Rahadoumi man, that keeps a feral Almiraj in a bird cage.

Lunchbox3000 wrote:Both of these sound good. I have kind of wanted to try Monk. I think building it soubds pretty fun. What archetypes would blend well with it?I would actually suggest to play an investigator with the martial artist archetype. It can be quite a bit of fun
This synchronizes a lot better than Monk mechanically, too.
