Same way reporting happens. They say something is/did/might happen, give us a very long recap, then they tell us what they think/predict and then it gets sold to Forbes (or hosted on their own ad revenue generating site) despite having no information in it.

This is in the playtest discussion board, during the playtest, I figured that that would be enough. And if it wasn't, the YT video says playtest too.

In any case, its long past my ability to edit.

I wanted to link it because those guys pointed out several things that aren't being discussed *at all* here.

Having had a chance to listen to it, it's not bad. sounds a lot like these forums. I have to agree with the one of them that said it feels like 2E is scared of it's players though, every time I see something cool here there's a limitation that makes it awful.

Well, they are reviewing the Playtest classes, much the way we are in the forums. They just have a wider audience :)

I think that some of the criticisms they had match a few of the concerns we’ve been debating over the last week.

I though that Perram’s opinion on how the nerf hammer was really wielded this time around, to the point that some restrictions just did not make sense, to be very accurate.

I agree with them entirely.

They honestly were right on the money for how I feel.

There is so much interesting stuff that could be fun. And than the place it behind a bunch of needless chains for no real reason.

There was no misunderstanding or misinformation. They read the playtest, saw all the wonky action economy issues of the Magus with their Wonky. All the Wonky spells slot stuff. And touched upon the Summoner going from "all about customization" to "basically nothing".

All things that are 100% true with the Playtest.

Yeah, it was more of a "first impressions" than an in-depth review.

I'm sure a lot of the anger is directed at the caster rant. We add +1 to hit for spells. Nothing appears to break, and casters become desirable again.
