What?I got that.
I'm just worried I accidentally stared into the abyss too long, and now it stares back.
The world has truly gone mad especially given some of the stuff people are pulling with this that is only self serving but because its "social justice" if you call them out on it you're the bad guy.

Assuming you would even want apprentices. I personally wouldn't. maybe because I'm selfish but if someone else had even a shred of power, that person would be targeted/coveted by a lot of groups out there.

I think you probably meant 800 microSieverts or maybe milliSieverts.
My point here being that micro is 10^-6 and milli is 10^-3.
In other words one Sievert is 1000 milliSieverts or 1 million microsieverts.
That's seem way over estimated. I'm not saying that the military didn't publish such a finding someplace, but I'm fairly certain people will be rendered unconscious well before such insanely high levels.
I've read some accident reports that would have much lower levels of exposure and people were regularly being knocked unconscious.
I guess if you want instantly dead via radiation then it I guess it
reasonableworks (totally not reasonable)...but for most people you would just be better using a gun.
Argh, I've got a zero error. 80 Sieverts. And it's about stopping the guy on the spot--keeping them from doing anything (say, launching a missile.)

I cast teleport and you lost your missile

Apprentices are useful teach them to say level 6 wizard they're no threat to you and your mystic power but now they're a target for the world because they're weak enough it may be possible to capture/bribe/convince them to teach what they know to others. Divert the worlds attention to the squishier target while you maneuver things into place behind the scenes to ensure no threats can arise against you without your knowing about it.

Even if that means groups out there gain some measure or understanding of magic? Personally I wouldn't want to make that gamble...too risky especially when you appear to the world, ostensibly it would be only you vs the world...

Woo boy, yeah that's an order of magnitude and makes substantially more sense.
Thanks for clarifying.

Too bad I didn't notice this discussion until now.
But yeah, going by Starfinder's standards and putting game mechanics aside, the Mythic Wizard in question is powerful enough to clobber encounters that are capable of annihilating entire technologically advanced spacefaring civilizations, single handedly.
Trying to fight off the Wizard in this case isn't the answer, because it won't be a "fight" to begin with.
