PACG "Play-by-post" (so-called) actually works rather well. I haven't looked around to see if there are active campaigns, but the place for it here begins with:
https://paizo.com/community/forums/campaigns
(Note that is a forum for ALL online campaigns, so most are RPG.)
Some of us have a database or other tool we use to track a virtual box. OR an industrious person could try to run an actual box (although this poses problems, I would think, in requiring simultaneous online presence). Unfortunately, I am in no position to run a game myself (I am traveling overseas, if you can believe it. Hope I make it home.)

Outpost III signups are still going on. You'll be able to sign up for a game there. It starts on March 30.
We are using the Pathfinder Adventure Card Society rules, which are located here.
If you need help getting started the Flaxseed On-Deck Lodge should be able to help. The Org Play Online discord too but I don't remember how to generate the url for that.

Others have had luck using their physical cards, a lazy susan, a webcam (to broadcast said cards), and voice chat.
It’ll be faster than play by post and more what you’re used to. However, play by post is sanctioned for organized play and other means of running remotely are not, so if your group plays officially reported PACS games that will impact your decision.

Hm, this is a problem. My group is currently trying to find a solution that doesn't involve PbP but is still online - the issue with PbP from one of my players is that it's completely disconnected and they value the actually connection F2F provides. If the social distancing goes on for an extended period of time I need a solution that reasonably works in this case.
Kiya's actually tried play by Skype for an extended period of time; she tells me that they always do their setups with a box at all ends (BR has a normal box, and the other players have alphabetized boxes for reference). I think this is because the BR has to keep the state zoomed out so there's no way to zoom in on particular cards that need to be read.

I'd think that the card wiki could be used instead of a box at each end. It's a quick and easy way to look up cards.

The wiki is definitely not always accurate though and I've found it's missing a handful of cards. So, you'll want cards on hand to reference just in case you look at the wiki and suspect that something seems off. The wiki is a great resource but shouldn't be your only resource.

That's fair, but I think the players could use it as a reference most of the time, and for a missing card, the box runner could always just hold that card up to the camera, or snap a picture of it and send the image to the player who needs it.

With a reminder that I do not make the decision as to how Organized Play works and defer to Paizo and Venture Officers, I would very much appreciate a concerted effort to remove any difficulty playing PACS online, at this time. Even if it's just for the duration of the pandemic.
Whether that's updating errant wikis or whatever. :)

Does anyone have an app with all possible locations for distance play? That would even be a help in physical games, as location text is small, far away, and difficult to see (and remember).
I think this should be all of them: https://pacg.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Location

Sorry if I'm a bit late - I only just found this thread.
I'm currently running PACG games using Discord (audio), and the PACG Wiki as the source of information for cards. (I've been spending a fair bit of time adding card information to the Wiki for some of the things such as "Season of the Goblins" that were missing).
I don't see there being any problem with reporting the games as official PACS games - I can verify that any player has access to the appropriate class deck by using discord video (although so far I've only run games for people who I know to have the decks, or who have verified their ownership for one of the online PbP games).
It's definitely a work in progress at the moment, but once we've had a bit more experience I plan on opening games up to a wider audience.

Me and our friends recently tried playing PACG over Tabletop Simulator in Steam (we collectively physically own S&S, base MM and Core+Curse). It works very well despite the need to handle cards by mouse, which is rather clumsy :). It's the only way we are able to play together, as I am across the ocean from them ;)
I play solo Curse (close to its end), but that is much less entertaining and more like exploring the expansion and the characters.

Sorry about that, here's an updated invite to the Org Play Online Discord server.
