If the form you assume has any of the following abilities, you gain the listed ability: DR, regeneration 5, and trample.

but after a quick search on aonprd (Monsters > plant + regeneration), it seems there are literally no plants with regeneration, let alone Huge ones.

There is the Heartrot Tree, which is a Huge plant and can regenerate a few days after being slain, but this is not the same regeneration intended by the spell. There is also the Wooden Protector, a Medium plant with regeneration 2, but it is 3.5 material. So, all in all, I could not find any suitable candidate.

Am I missing something?

I noticed something similar with fey form. A distinct lack of huge fey. I think there is one huge fey that I could find.

So I don't know. :(

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I did a search on d20pfrsrd and found some. Though I did have trouble finding plant creatures that only had regeneration 5.

Regeneration 5
Saguaroi (Medium)
Tenebrous Blight (Huge)
Moss Monster (Medium)

Regeneration 10
Irminsul (Gargantuan)
Tendriculos (Huge)
Mosslord (Large)
Sump Steward (Large)

Regeneration 20
Green Man (Medium)

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for a non-templated undead with Pounce, which Undead Anatomy II grants.

I really need to update my monster list spreadsheet one of these days.

@LordKailas: If you were wondering why you couldn't find the "Moss Monster" on AoN, it's actually called Melfesh Monster.

kinda hidden but nightprowler has this :

"Shadowpounce (Su) Nightprowlers have the pounce ability, and when they use this ability, they can also make rake attacks. Up to three times per day when a nightprowler pounces from an area of dim illumination, it generates a shimmering aura of false images that grants it a 50% miss chance, as if under the effects of a displacement spell, for 1d4 rounds."

so they have pounce and shadowpounce ,but the short table has only the later written, as it include the former.

Using operators on aon's search function is iffy at best, I suspect that's the problem Gray Warden had.

That would not be a problem. If you are taking the form of a plant creature with regeneration 10, you would get regeneration 5 with this spell. Your list is long enough that this special ability would easily come into play.
