Now that we have blogs detailing the availability of options in PFS, as well as the Achievement Point system being revealed, we can now see what uncommon archetypes will be available to play.

I've done a quick spreadsheet which includes all Ancestries and Archetypes available from the Lost Omens line, and determined whether they are available in PFS using the rules we've seen.

Have I missed anything? of the options which are available, which archetypes are you most excited about?

I missed the Secondary Initiation and Home Region boons the first time around. Editing the sheet with those

This should help out regarding requirements from the Secondary Initiation boon.

Thanks for starting this project up!

Hellknights and Knight Vigilants, personally :P

No worries Mike. I like that we're getting more info about how the PFS2E access is working, however I think it's quite confusing and high level.

I've wondered how it would work in PFS for a while, and I thought if I wasn't 100% clear, others would appreciate the clarity also.

The main questions I want to get a FAQ from campaign leadership are:

1) Does Secondary Initiation skip you past the extra requirements such as "Knight Rank", "Pass Hellknight Test", or a certain rank in the Magaambya?

2) Does Secondary Initiation (Hellknight) give you every order, or do you have to name one order?

3) Does being a pathfinder mean you are in the Pathfinder society, or do you need Secondary Initiation to grant the Pathfinder organisation dedications

4) Does School training count for the Scrollmaster, Spellmaster, Swordmaster archetypes

As it is we have 11/23 options available to us. With these questions answered, assuming there is a way for PFS characters it gives us another nine for 20/23.

Referencing convenient post #66 explicitly covers Hellknights and Knights Vigilant, and seems like it would logically extend to cover several other rank and role playing requirements.

1) Yes. Michael stayed this officially in the sanctioning blog discussion
3) Yes, per the guide we’re Pathfinders (now the Absalom region requirement is still a problematic).

Thanks Blake and Lucky! I've updated my google sheet, linking to this post.

Based on the ruling for #1 and #3 I think it's pretty safe to say that #2 is covered by Secondary Initiation.

You are from Absalom can be covered by Home Region. You choose a country but also count as getting access to an entire meta-region. I think home region absalom would count for this.

It absolutely would. I think the problem Blake's Tiger is referring to is that in PFS, *all* PCs are Pathfinders, so why should they need to have Home Region Absalom for those options? It might make sense for game balance, but not as much on the lore side.

One can be a Pathfinder and not be from Absalom. One can certain decide to call Absalom home but still have a regional connection to where they were born and raised.

Yes, yes. You can make it work, and it's not a big deal for me. However, others have had the concern, and I agree it is somewhat incongruous that Pathfinders recruit from all over, but you need Absalom as your Home Region to be an archetypical Pathfinder.

Nothing is a deal breaker should I, personally, get around to making a Pathfinder Agent, but you can't...

Be a Varisian Human Pathfinder Agent and know both Varisian and Shoanti without a high intelligence or Multilingual feat.

Be a Pathfinder Agent from Brevoy who has access to Aldori dueling swords (well, maybe with the Unconventional Weaponry feat, need to re-read).

Be both a Pathfinder Agent and an Aldori Duelist (each requiring a different home region).

...but I can see why other people find it weird.

All boils down to choices and trade-offs.

I think the World Traveler AcP boon enables the characters Blake is talking about -- its a way to have two home regions.

3, if you also take multicultural training.

Multicultural Training doesn't give you a Home Region, just an extra ethnicity (allowing for Tien-Kellid or Taldane-Mwangi characters, but that's different than Home Region).

3) James is working with tech right now to push an update to the blog because apparently we all thought this was already covered in the guide, but: All PFS characters have access to the Pathfinder Agent archetype, even if they are not from Absalom.

Update Our awesome new web content manager, Maryssa, got this officially updated in the blog about as fast as I was able to post about it here, so it is now super official that you can take the Pathfinder Agent archetype without selecting Absalom as your home region.

Where are we getting that you can only have 1 hobgoblin per player?
