Paizo has been silent regarding questions about making Attack of the Swarm! Adventure Path society legal. My players very much want to play this path. Does anyone have any information on why Paizo will not make this legal?
There haven't been ANY sanctions of Starfinder APs or rulebooks in over a year. The organized play team has been understaffed.
We are expecting an announcement soon(ish).

Somewhat hyperbole. We did sanction Dawn of Flame, which has been available for play for some time.
As for Attack of the Swarm, it is entirely our intent to sanction it. However, the full adventure path has yet to be released, so I'm waiting on the last installment before prioritizing sanctioning on that product. But yes, it is coming!

Yar, the big issue is the AR is the "single point of contact" for what is/isn't sanctioned and it's the one with the year since last update. We know it's coming though (with intent of being pre-Christmas and including COM).
Anyone who didn't know Dawn of Flame was sanctioned, you can get the Chronicle Sheets from the AP Pages!

Not hyperbole. I just didn't know (my group is still in Signal of Screams)!

Would be nice though if player options could be sanctioned earlier than the chronicles instead of having to wait for chronicles to be sanctioned as well, in case it turns out that psychic mystic connection from book 5 would really want me to make a mystic.
Come to think about it, Dawn of Flame's player options haven't been added to additional resources either <_<; So that Flamewalker connection isn't allowed yet
Well they have the Dawn of Flame player options now too, which is fun.
