Can I take a multiclass dedication feat at 10th-level after taking Multitalented at 9th-level?

Does taking Multitalented at 9th-level lock me out of taking another dedication feat at 10th-level?

Given that all dedication feats say that you must select two of their feats before picking another dedication feat I would assume so, yes.

Well why wouldn't it... The feat says you can ignore prereqs for that feat not for the next one...

So depending on the timing in which you take it, it may not really grant you an extra dedication over what you'd normally be able to take anyways.

It's primary usage is likely to be when you already have a dedication, but not it's follow-up 2. You can then ignore the need for other feats before taking that one, but would still have to fill out the necessary requirements from there to take any others.

For instance, in my attempt to recreate a mystic theurge (only BETTER), I was going to be going through multiple caster dedications with all of my class feats (except 6th because of level requirement shenanigans). If I didn't pick up the Breadth feat before level 9 then I wouldn't have enough to take the new dedication, but with the Multitalented feat I could.

That would not however allow me to pick up another dedication until I had fulfilled all of my requirements for the others, save for using another ancestry feat for Multitalented again which, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think you can do.

If you want three multiclass dedications you can go:

2: Dedication A
4: Archetype A feat 1
6: Archetype
8 Dedication B
9: Multitalented- Dedication C.

Interesting. I hadn't noticed that option.

I was thinking of using Multitalented to help complete two multiclass casting options.

Example
Level 2: Wizard Dedication
Level 4: Basic Wizard Casting
Level 8: Arcane Breadth
Level 9: Druid Dedication
Level 10: Basic Druid Casting
Level 12: Expert Wizard Casting
Level 14: Expert Druid Casting
Level 16: Primal Breadth
Level 18: Master Wizard Casting
Level 20: Master Druid Casting

Without getting the second dedication at 9th level, there aren't enough feat slots to fit in all five main feats for each multiclass.

The line marked 6. should read "6. Archetype A Feat 2". I got distracted by football when I was writing that and didn't notice until the edit window was gone.

The real use of multitalented is that you can use an ancestry feat to get a dedication feat rather than burning a class feat. That alone is a pretty nice. The ignore other dedications is merely icing on an already nice cake.

And that bonus of being able to ignore the ability score prerequisites if you are a half-elf is very nice too.
