First of all, I don't have the 2E book, so I don't know if it's explicitly forbidden. But given how there's an NG paladin (or more accurately, a paladin is the Lawful iteration of a Good class of holy knights in big armor), but I love off-beat characters, and given how Old Two-Face still has NG as an allowed alignment going by his Archives, I was wondering if he might have some decidedly more martial goody-two-shoes followers.
And if so, how they'd function in daily life going by how his personal tenets are "if magic, then use."

Those dead magic areas near Alkenstar must be the sort of thing that really grinds a Redeemer of Nethys' gears.
Protecting spellcasters (and societies / organizations of same, such as the Arcanamirium, or Magaambyan Academy, or Arclords, in particular, but perhaps even the Ciphermages or Korvosan Academy students and staff and grounds) would seem a logical outgrowth for such a group, functioning similar to the Warders of the Aes Sedai, from the Wheel of Time books.

A NG follower of Nethys (champion, cleric, wizard, or otherwise) could see magic as a transcendent force for good. Literally use magic to make the world a better place. The enlightenment-seeking, benevolent side of irl Hermeticism fits a similar theme (also the protection/destruction is from the Hermetic concept of solve et coagula: dissolve and reform)

Not to mention Champion as a multiclass archetype synergizes VERY well with any caster looking for a little more OOMPH in the martial department! ELDRITCH KNIGHTS HOOOOO!!!
