This pants of which you speak shall not control me!
Well crap baskets. My asst. manager has the covid and is self quarantining for the next 2 weeks. That is a awful close shot across the bow. She is on the recovery portion. The ding bat went to the Gym apparently. I didn't even know their were gyms open. I had a interaction with her at some point last week. I will be so upset at her if I get sick.
Well, fingers crossed that you stay healthy.

Micromorts are a thing
Quote: There’s a standard way to understand the relative danger of any activity. A micromort is "a unit of risk defined as one-in-a-million chance of death" (Wikipedia). For example:
skydiving is 8 micromorts per jump
running a marathon: 26 micromorts
1 micromort: walking 17 miles, or driving 230 miles
Generally being alive averages out at 24 micromorts/day.
That is super interesting. I wonder how many MicroMorts my job is.
Also What does this say about our non-micro mort?

In the words of Pratchett, one in a million chances crop up nine times out of ten.
Pratchett truly a man of the ages. I'm still slowly collection all the discworld books. Turns out some are quite rare. Mort is one of my favorites to go back to my previous comment.

Pretty sure our jobs have gone up in micromorts in the last few months due to increased risk of exposure to a deadly virus.
Yes Quite sure. we should probably be getting hazard pay.
We lost one of the rats. Nacho. He was one of the ones we adopted from the couple him and burrito to keep snack company. So we know he didn't have the best care before us which could contribute. He was about 2 years old which is average I think for rats. Were not sure how he passed. He seemed healthy one day then the next he didn't run up for treats and we found him on the bottom corner of his cage. The other ones seem to be taking it well. So RIP Nacho. He was good boy.
My sincerest condolences for the loss, Vidmaster7.
So scientist have apparently found that COVID has a long term symptom of causing E.D.
Meanwhile certain rally went maskeless today.
If that isn't Darwinism at work IDK what is.
I guess with my job I can be thankful that I have never been stabbed. So their is that anyways.
Stupid question, but what is E.D?
It's when the one-eyed wonder weasel doesn't want to play.

Ah, thank you. Great metaphor by the way.
Sunday in December hasn't been this dead since The pandemic started. Good times.
RAndom thought: In day to day life nothing important. IF someone hears you and doesn't understand you do you prefer them to pretend they did and laugh it off or to stop you and ask you to repeat yourself until they understand. For me normally the second one but at work kind of prefer the first.

I try to do the latter, but I find that doing the former is sometimes useful when the situation isn't favourable for whatever reason.
It inconvenient when I say something I shouldn't and they want to make sure they heard me. I'll say that.

Yay last day then time off. I think I'll do some streaming on twitch tomorrow at around this time. If anyone wants to catch it. it's under the same name as this and frankly all my stuff.
Nice, here's hoping that you have an enjoyable time off. Or at least, as much as your new missus allows. ;-)
Which reminds me I need to get my days off moved around in the future so we share at least one off day.
Good strategy. My parents try to ensure the same thing.
Those were pleasant days off. back to the grind.

Just try and think of life as a game, and that the more you grind is more experience to gain. :-)
The problem is I'm leveling up in a class I don't like.
Guess you should have been more careful during character creation, then.
That comment is surprisingly deep if you think about it.
What if you don't think about it? Is it still deep?
Okay, then. Keep thinking about it. Like you should have done in school (the real life version of CharGen).
To be clear, that is intended as a light-hearted joke. After all, I'm in a very similar boat as you.
I feel like it's been a while since I've used that alias.
I would love to get my hands on my chracter sheet for like 5 minutes. I hope it is in White wolf style though. That way it is easier to fill in the bubbles.
Like at the end of The Gamers?
