Eh by the time I got the expenses of this car maintenance and gas I think I would save money in the long run.

what are the coordinates for where you live? Like coordinates that I could input into a low orbit laser cannon GPS coordinates so I can visit you?
I believe his coordinates are... 1 2 3 4 5.
Huh it's nice to know gran doesn't actually want me dead.
Gran would pine without you. If you two lived together both of you would bicker like an old married couple and live scrappily ever after.

Well it would at least be convenient that we are both on night shift.

I'd pine for him like I do for the fjords.

I don't know what this Fjord business is all about.

He's a character on Critical Role.

Noted. So gran must be a big fan of this character.

I do like him, but if you'll notice, what I said was that "I'd pine for him like I do for the fjords." You are the one who mentioned Fjord. I was referring to the long, narrow, deep inlets of the sea between high cliffs.

Well those are also nifty.

I'm thinking of selling my car. Since I switched jobs, I've been using it about once a month, and that is just not enough to justify the expense.

Gas and maintenance for cars is expensive...but considering I don't live in a flat area...this is kind of why we do have lots of cars.

I want those bullet trail monorail things that use magnets. Apparently they can easily get up to 600 MPH and use a minimum amount of electricity. I like the idea of being able to get to the other side of the country in like 2 hours.

Obviously not really meant for like short distance transportation.

I'm looking to using tea to soak dates instead of baking soda since it gives off a rather strong taste. Then plug it into this recipe, since I got 2 packets of dates from Shape run 10k, one as the race pack, one at the finish.

I also tried the burpees Hiits workout. 20 burpees, 2 min rest. I managed 4 cycles before I felt flat.

My fitness buddies are trying to get me to sign up for Spartan sprint and I know my upper body strength is lacking so I need to work on it. I will do 30 push ups every day I am not weight training and find a bar to dead hang from. I wish monkey bars were more accessible here.

Cars depreciate in value. Sell it, and walk/bike around more =)

I mean WVU does have a kind of mag-lift system called the PRT that was built back in the 1970s...but it's a) very old and b) has a limited range.

So while I'd use when I had classes at WVU, I wouldn't say not need a car if I needed to get around Morgantown.

What I want is basically personal transporter like Star Trek. :p

And a replicator!!!!

A Trek-stype transporter? Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. .

Look all I know is I'm unlikely to get a Stargate built in my hometown so this is my next best option.

Also Cal, I dunno about a replicator JUST yet...but as soon as I figure if it will work better than 3D printing...I'll consider it.

Oh since you walk dogs you could get a sleigh and have them pull you! It's win-win.

Nah. I need snow for that and considering I foresee little to no chance of an Ice Age...that's not going to happen.

Get yourself a little red wagon then.

Maybe you could put wheels on it?

Wagons already have wheels.

You ninja'ed me I was referring to the sleigh. Which I guess would make it a wagon. whether it is little and red is up for debate.

Whaaaa....ninja!

Just beat the Heart with Ironclad. Even managed to reach max block during the fight (999, if you are curious). Here's what I had:

Spoiler:

Barricade +
Double Tap +
Entrench
Entrench +
Evolve
Fire Breathing
Flame Barrier +
Inflame +
Metallicize +
Rampage +
Armaments +
Body Slam +
4 x Defend +
Strike

Relics:
Burning Blood (starting relic)
Bag of Preperation
Tiny Chest
Sozu
Mercury Hourglass
Magic Flower
Busted Crown
War Paint
Gremlin Horn
Self-Forming Clay

Guess it's back to Ascension mode for me.

I love barricade or that relic where you only lose 15 armor instead of all. That and a focus on armor cards and that one that deals dmg equal to your armor is how I beat it the first time. With the rogue one I beat it with high poison and high defense. Basically poison and defend till they die of the poison. I still can't get the right combination of cards to get anywhere with defect. I think the trick is having a lot of 0 costs.

Defect, for me, has two main paths. One is lots of Frost orbs, plenty of Focus to increase their efficiency, and then the Blizzard card (deal damage to all enemies based on number of Frost orbs channeled that fight). Claws are also useful as they grow in power each time you use them. The other is lots of Shock orbs and Electrodynamics (Shock orbs deal damage to all enemies), and of course plenty of block.

I'm sure you could do well with a focus on Dark orbs, but I find those are kind of hard to come by. Basically, though, choose an orb and overload on them.

The plasma one seems interesting but their doesn't seem to be enough things to interact with them. If I could insure that I could get them I would go with a bunch of expensive cards to take advantage but it seems high risk. If I don't get the right combination that's it.

for the dark orbs I haven't quite figured them out yet. I think they basically charge up untill you use them then boom for a bunch of damage. I think I prefer the lighting ones.

I may try the frost orbs and claws route. Basically delay until the claws are guaranteed death.

I also like it when I turn into a vampire and get the strike that heals. Super useful.

I do not understand the words coming out of your mouth.

Sokay Freehold. I rarely understand you.

Also I'm not sure I'm ready for a wagon train of dogs. Mostly because the roads in my city are PRETTY terrible right now just for regular motorized vehicles..

I did a frost lightning hybrid defect build before. Have not managed dark or plasma complete run before. Insufficient defenses. I speculate you can do frost/dark hybrid, but never tried.

Frost claw is easy, just need to keep your card draw up(cool headed) and frost orbs cycling. And I see you like biting people, Vidmaster =)

Plasma you'd probably want something like bludgeon, multistrike.

For you confused people we are talking about a game. "Slay the spire"

Well your not wrong.

So I started on The Golden Compass and it its sequels well I say started I finished the first book. I was wondering why I had heard it was like the anti-lion witch and wardrobe. By the end I got it. Also I heard the movie doesn't do it justice and after reading the first book I could see that. Especially when they don't give it an R rating.

Damn the latest patch of Samsung health broke the iron content tracker. Now I have no idea if I'm getting enough iron in my diet ><

Nibble a girder or two if you're worried about going short.

Tomorrow marks the start of a VERY long month for me...because Mom is going out of the country until September 26th. Why? Mostly because I think she's tired of cooking for me, but might also be because she and my godfather are traveling over Greece and Bulgaria to look at icons, starting in Thessaloniki. Then after spending time there (September 15th), she'll fly to Moscow to join my aunt for ANOTHER attempt at a river cruise. (Their previous one to do the Rhine and the Danube hit a snag due to low water levels...go figure *coughclimatechangecough*) So yes, they'll be sailing the Volga to St. Petersberg. So...I guess I'll have to learn how to cook. :(

Youtube and folks on the forum are here to help!
