Sure, you may be saying that now. But management has decided to go with the cheapest option for exporting The Adventures of Freehold & Thomas, and -- he he he -- us pugwampis had the lowest bid for translating. Your new voiceover actors (also pugwampis) will have you as mortal enemies from day one.

Episode 1's 'wampi-revised script has you getting made president of the Official Alton Brown Fan Club, and Freehold in a jealous rage eats your entire garden's crop of okra.

Can't I just be the president of the "Princes of the Abyss" fan metal club and Freehold hates that instead?

Active day woo.

If you burn it then you're not a very good cook.

I don't know I like my Okra pretty crisp. only way I can eat it really.

I haven't had okra since I was a child. I didn't like it then, and really haven't had a chance to try it since. Both of my parents dislike it, so there was never any in the house. Given the chance, I would probably try it again, but I'm not going to seek out the opportunity.

Its a stable in my area. I think the Walmart deli sells breaded and fried Okra still. Very common side where I live.

Well, yeah, in Tennessee I would expect that. In fact, that's where I had it as a child, my grandpa grew it in his garden. And maybe you can get it at the deli here, but like I said, I'm not going to seek it out.

It's not that special for sure. You know a good vegetable? Potato. Never go wrong with potato.

I like taters.

The Exchange

Its mid autumn festival and I'm wondering if I should try my hand at making mooncakes. But they're awfully calorific...

The Exchange

Potatoes I know are very flexible. I might have tried it with my Asian eggplant lasagna if I wasn't trying to avoid starchy carbs....as it is its going to be king oyster mushroom, okra, minced meat, an onion and oyster sauce.

I have no garden so it wouldn't bother me anyway.

The eggplant turned out a little tough(I think I need to cook it longer) - but the whole thing was made up off 230g of okra(yes, I can hear Freehold screaming), 2 tomatoes, a chopped onion,80g ground pork, a handful of mozarella cheese and half a teaspoon of basil, thyme, rosemary and a good pinch of salt.

10 hours, Freehold? You sure you won't get a sore throat?

My BMI would be 28.4, no clue about my body fat percentage, but its probably pretty high as I have quite a tummy at the moment.

BMI also does not take into account my build. I'm tall and lanky, so when I hit a BMI of 25, I will most likely still have a few kilos too many.

I still have a tummy. And that's with doing leg raises of all varieties, planks...

Well I guess mostly it doesn't show, but I still get to see it in the mirror.

Don't burn it! Give it to me! It's a gravy thickener so you can cut down on corn starch!

My BMI is around 21. The healthy BMI for Asians here is 18 - 23, 23 being a bit too high.

I am actually surprisingly heavy for how I look(people were surprised that I weigh more then 50 kg), but again that's what you get when you have a D shape on your in body chart for body scanning. Not a very pronounced D, but a D shape nonetheless.

I'm looking to put on some muscle on my upper body but I think I've been running too much lately ><

And haven't had much luck booking the rock climbing wall.

That's the combination an idiot would have on his luggage!

Lately, it's mostly been food and dieting.

And the rivalry between me and Freehold.

Also I like fresh okra in my food...but only in jambalaya.

Also go read this posting.

Oh and for irony, after my mom complained that I was getting too thin, I brought her and my dad for onboarding to get people who are from the Singapore government to give health advice regarding body shape and the fitness trainers there were pretty impressed with mine and my mom was the one who was told she is "skinny fat" and needs to put on more muscle. Geez.

Before you point fingers at others, maybe you should look at yourself?

Also my BF wanted me to be at 45 kg, I told him it isn't possible - I'm a meso/endo mix so I tend towards the stocky side, not waif thin.

And I'd take being able to lift heavy and generally be a bad@ss then waif thin without energy anyday.

Wow that is a lot of bad luck. I hope they can fix the car right.

Woran,

That's my hope too. They haven't called me yet, but I'll call them (checks the Eastern Standard Time clock) 5:30 which is 2 minutes from now.

Update:

I called just before 6. They were about to call me. So now I have my car back...but now I have to pay my mom back for the money I owe her...

The Exchange

My colleague just had a promotion and bought cheesecake, sandwiches and pies for us all. I had an indulgence. Yeah, I eat a LOT.

The total damage account:

Pre lunch noms:

All pies and quiches are palm sized

1 chicken pie

1 ham quinche

1 vegetable quinche

One beef and potatoes pie

Several random pieces of light bites and part of a chicken sandwich and part of a smoked salmon sandwich from swiss bake.

One piece of burnt cheese cake, one piece of salted caramel cheese cake.

And I did eat my lunch of beans, brocolli and chicken after.

Dinner:

One kaya bun, one blueberry bun(I thought it was yam)

One piece of salmon sandwich

Two tomato tarts

Then my colleague was saying the cheese cake wouldn't keep over the weekend and was getting us to take it back home. Since I didn't want to get cheesecake smudged all over the place, I decided the expedient thing to do was to store it in my stomach.(Another 2 pieces of cheese cake eaten)

Generally I don't eat cheesecakes because they're too cheesy (and not to mention calories) but this batch was very well done and wasn't.

Cheese cake is typically too rich for me.

Car trouble sucks. I'm telling you man if I could not own a car I would. I wish public transportation was bigger.

Oh I beat slay the spire with everyone except the defect. I got him to the last of the third spire and he died. I haven't messed with the ascension thingy at all.

Gran would pine without you. If you two lived together both of you would bicker like an old married couple and live scrappily ever after.

Eh. I doubt Morgantown could get better public transportation than it has now due to the fact NO ONE wants to pay extra taxes...
