Hey there all,
I just wanted to make sure this news made it here to the boards, starting on April 4th, Paizo will be streaming a live Actual Play game of Pathfinder Second Edition, featuring all Paizo staff, on our twitch channel!
From now until then, every Thursday at noon (PST), you can watch as we talk to each player and reveal their character. Then starting on April 4th and following up every Thursday after that, come back and join us for one hour of gaming!
Called the "Oblivion Oath", this campaign will feature an entirely original story, set in Golarion running in 4719, concurrent to the events of the Tyrant's Grasp adventure path (but dont worry, we wont spoil the events of that adventure).
We look forward to gaming with you!

I've been fit to bust trying not to accidentally spill the beans on this. During our first group meeting to discuss character concepts, party roles, etc, it became clear very quickly that I will be playing with some really creative and brilliant storytellers and I am really looking forward to this experience.

And, unless these are handled differently than other Twitch streams, they're available to watch immediately after they end on Twitch itself (listed under Videos.)

I had expected to sleep through these - then I just realised that I will be awake when this streams each week...the bad news is it’s my weekly cardio session. I already hate going to that! Now it’s going to get worse - I’m going to be resenting missing out on all the fun. :(
Feel free to run an hour late. Punctuality is overrated. (Dan - what would it take to get you to experience some reliable technical issues each week?)

Hmm, have they said whether the adventure would eventually be available for playing?
I'm Hmm, so that was addressed to me, right?
Buhlman was pretty cagey on the Twitch Stream about whether they would be eventually publishing the adventure or not. Still if there's enough of a demand, they might do it.

Could a link to the VOD be posted to the Blog afterward?
(Actually if this could be done for all Paizo twitch videos that would be keen).
Paizo videos eventually end up on Their YouTube channel.
And their Twitch channel is here.

It sounded like they were getting advice from various streams and trying to incorporate some of it. I don't think they're trying to get as fancy as the people who basically stream for a living, but sounds like they want to up their production value.

I’m curious if this will be more like previous game play things Paizo has done (ie in thier conference room / reference library room playing around a conference table) or if this will be a higher production value to match Critical Roll etc (actual set of some kind etc)
It'll be the same set-up we used for the Doomsday Dawn live streams.

We got our first look at the current state of the rules relevant to our characters and started working on our character creation yesterday. While we already had picked some of the basics like ancestries, classes and backstories, we now have the stats and character sheets to go with them.
Twitter link here: Paizo Twitter character creation tweet..
Katina is going to be on Twitch Thursday (tomorrow) March 7th, with Dan to talk about her character 12pm PST.

One of the boxes on the twitch landing page is called "Roleplay Shows" and if you click "Oblivion Oath" you can see slides with the dates for the character preview shows for each of us and a silhouette of our characters.

Oooh! I can hardly wait to hear which classes you'll be playing. (And consequently which ones we'll get a sneak preview of their final forms.) My impressions from the silhouettes are as follows:
Gabe: Vesk! No, that's not it... Kobold? Wait...
Sara: Somebody with an axe! I predict some axe-whacking!
Owen: I know a goblin head when I see one! Either clutching a fuzzball or has magic coming out of one fist.
Katina: Somebody with a lot of hair... and a staff? My money's on druid.

Heck even *I* am only 85% sure I'm not fictional. :)
I appreciate the kind words, and I am pretty sure you're going to love everyone once you get to know them.

Woohoo! Just had the further realisation that Daylight savings finishes for us in a few weeks. I should be back home recovering by the time the stream starts each week. :)

I followed the instructions Sara Marie posted a little higher in this thread. From Paizo's Twitch page on a browser (not the mobile app) there's a box called Roleplay Shows. Clicking on Oblivion Oath brings up the characters' basic info.

Thanks much!
My question is this: since Mykah didn't actually finish her formal wizard training, does she actually have a thesis?

So I was on the right track with my wild vesk/kobold guessing! He's a fun character from the little we've heard.
Including a different ancestry seems like a good idea from a PR standpoint: show people that you can already play with something other than the core ancestries. It's like a bonus sneak preview besides. I'd be interested to hear Jason's thoughts on it too.

Interesting, not quite sure how to interpret what they said,
if they plan Lizardfolk/Iruxi* within the Lost Omens world guide, or simply intended for future product released at a later time?
Really, it probably makes sense within the LOWG for the West Garund region including Sodden Lands / Mwangi Expanse, so why not?
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some more Ancestries and Ethnicities are in LOWG that don't fit in CRB.
Actually, is anybody familiar with production timeline for LOWG vs CRB? Possibly the former has later "deadline" than CRB?
* I wasn't sure if Gabe's pronunciation ("Ih-Rook-See" using X=KS) was "Paizo Canon" or what...
My personal intuition was something like "Ee-Roo-Shee" (X=Sh) or "Ee-Roo-Hee" (X=H ala Spanish J or even Russian X/Kh). ...?

Iruxi is pronounced the way Gabe said it.
At least, that's how I've been saying the word since 1990, when I made it up for my homebrew when I realized I needed a name for lizard people that wasn't "lizardman."
Gabe was super paranoid about pronouncing it wrong in the stream, so we had an Iruxi Pronunciation Session before-hand.
In any event, "iruxi" is the name the lizardfolks know themselves as, just as we humans are "humans" and not "monkeyfolks." Or "caligni" for the dark folk, or "xulgath" for troglodytes, etc. ALL of the "...folk" people will have proper names going forward. The word "iruxi" is mentioned and supported in the Bestiary entry for lizardfolk, in any event, so it won't be confusing to folks once 2nd edition comes along.

They're still called halflings. That's not something that got solved in time for the Core Rulebook, alas. We'll have some info about their history and names for halfling ethnicities eventually I hope, but it won't be in the Core Rules. Maybe something we can fix in 3rd or 4th or 8th or 32nd or 481st edition. I can't fix everything all at once. :-/
