Pricing an Illusionary set of armor

Advice

So Long Story short, I am making an Illusionary set of armor that looks, feels, and smells like real armor. But in truth it is a glamor effect and provides no bonuses Ac or anything.

The Base item is for the neck slot using the spell Mirage Arcana. Maybe some prestidigitation for a flashy donning effect.

Yet, using RAW would be around 360000gp(5x9x2000x4), and I think that is way too much.

The item would be only be able to create an illusion of one specific set of armor, for the wearer, so I think that would reduce the price.

What do you guys think the price should be?

90 gp? Mock Armor

Well, why not use a Hat of Disguise? Head is a less used slot than neck.

It certainly looks too pricey. Could you use a less pricey spell?

I'm trying to figure out your math. Where is the 4 coming from? The spell lasts hours so the multiple should be 1.

I mean, even if you can't use the head slot, a +1 glamered haramaki is like, 3853gp. Though that does have the "downside" of actually offering AC. In any case, the effect you're after should be vastly cheaper than what you have, mostly because it's basically a long-lasting level 1 effect.

Btw the Sleeves of Many Garment lets you change your clothes and only costs 200 gp.

It wouldn't be too farfetched that it works for armor. Or that an armor version of it exists for a small cost increase (maybe adding the cost of mock armor?).

Thanks for everyone Input!

Re-looking at the the hat of Hat of disguise and similar 5th lv spell items like the bag of holding.

I think I will go with a neck slot Amulet, CL 9, using the spell Mirage Arcana for 2,000gp.

Why would you use Mirage Arcana? That spell seems to have very little to do with the effect you are going for?

2000 GP seems ok, although I'd probably be looking at maybe 1000 since it seems about 1/2 as useful as a hat of disguise.

It was the only spell I could find that could create an illusion that included audible, visual, tactile, and olfactory elements.

Disguise self does not "alter the perceived tactile (touch) or audible (sound) properties of you or your equipment" so it would not work for a scrutinized item.

As of the Price I was going with a base 2000 gp and 1000 to make it yourself.

I see. Silent Image (1st) covers visual, Minor (2nd) adds sound, and Major (3rd) adds smell and temperature. Nothing for 4th level. So while Mirage Arcana is overkill, its the first illusion spell that adds tactile sense.

Hey. I made a new spell to fill this gap. Does anyone have an opinion about it? Please let me know.

TACTILE IMAGE
School illusion (figment); Level bard 4, sorcerer/wizard 4
Duration Concentration + 4 rounds

This spell functions like silent image, except that it covers sound, smell, thermal, and tactile senses. While concentrating, you can move the image within the range.
The image disappears when struck by an opponent unless you cause the illusion to react appropriately.
Objects that are created by this spell may be picked up and held, but they don't maintain their illusion well when someone tries to use or manipulate the object.
