Does a wizard who chooses Thassilonian Specialist still gain the associated powers from the school that he specializes in? For example, if one chooses to be a Thassilonian Specialist in Conjuration, would they still get Summoner's Charm and Acid Dart?

It doesn't say you don't, so I would assume that you do. The trade is that you get to double your specialized spell but not pick your opposition schools. And having evocation banned is not my idea of a good time.
Edit: The flavor text says "further enhancing their mastery" and "traded arcane versatility for greater strength." I know that's not binding, but that confirms that the not saying "no school powers" is intentional: You get an extra thing in exchange for not having a choice of banned schools. Otherwise it would be replacing your school powers with an extra spell slot and tying your hands for banned schools, which doesn't seem more powerful to me.

Did you see what illusion gives up? Screw giving up evocation, giving up those schools is not having a good time as a wizard.
