The one thing that keeps nagging me is a dissonance between the Asleep and Unconscious conditions:
Yeah, I'm not best pleased with this as well (Paralyzed also has issues). On the bright side, it got brought up in my actual play thread (with a several post discussion), which Mark Seifter posted in several times, so the evidence is pretty hopeful that the folks at Paizo are probably aware of the problem.

Unless I missed it being addressed already: a condition refinement around grabbed and restrained. So you can bind a captive but still have them able to walk etc. that degrades their effectiveness -re a manipulate action, activity, free action, or reaction - more than by a simple 5 flat check. Like a player round here mentioned: we're back to cutting the captured mage's thumbs off.

There are systems were that kind of magic works but they tend to give characters more wiggle room and you usually still have to supplement your character with other abilities so it’s not useless the 75%+ time you can’t use your magic.
I don't think talking and killing (to use my bard and warlock examples) are rare or hard to use. But there can be some basic at-will stuff as well, like cantrips.
Or for the barbarian...
"Whenever you take damage, roll to see if you enter rage. The more damage, the more rage. If you are healed your rage emds". Who can still attack as normal.
Argue about the current casting system all you want but at least it is reliable.
Sure. And that can exsist for those who want reliable. I don't want to take it away, but I don't want X/day, in whatever variant, to be the only option.
So yea. I'll change it to not just x/day.
