Any new Summoned Monsters given all the new material since Core?

Rules Questions

I'm wondering if there are any added monsters to either the Summon Monster or Summon Nature's Ally lists. Both spells were in the Core Rulebook.

Someone at a game table summoned a lightning elemental in place of an air elemental. I went is that legal? The GM and he both went of course it's cool.

It got me thinking whether, not counting feats like Summon Good Monster et al, there are any new critters on these lists.

I'd like to include any and all Pathfinder published including campaign settings, but not third party material.

Under Projects on Archives of Nethys is what I believe is an exhaustive list of all Paizo summoning options.

Whether the elementals in Bestiary 2 count as simple "elementals" for summoning purposes is up to the GM. PFS says no, but I would normally allow them in home games.

Once you get past those elementals, I am pretty sure that there are no other monsters that you can summon without taking a feat or other character option that expands your available list of summoned monsters.

There are a ton of "alternate" summoning options referenced in various APs and such. For those, I'll generally allow permanent one-to-one swaps on a player character's list for a particular spell. If they want to expand their list, they'll have to pick up Versatile Summon Monster/Nature's Ally, Summon <alignment> Monster, etc., or research a new spell.

Another alternative is the rules in Inner Sea Magic for the Acadamae in Korvasa.

Thanks. I don't suppose that would be online somewhere?

Given the nature of the web, I'm not going to say no, but I don't know where... (unless you're willing to pay paizo for the pdf : https://paizo.com/products/btpy8mfs?Pathfinder-Campaign-Setting-Inner-Sea-M agic )

Around about the time you're looking at a link to a site in Uzbekistan you might like to reconsider your actions. Anyway there are at least some inner sea magic entries in the AoN master summon lists.

Also, there's a few rings from ACG that add a few creatures of a given category to a summon list. This one, for example

The guide "Why work when others can do it for you - a guide to Summoning" has a number of alternate summons listed along with the source needed. It probably overlaps what is already listed, but it gives an avaluation of what you can get as well.

If all you want are official options, I think the previously mentioned Archives of Nethys page is the best.

AoN Summon List

Keep in mind that expanding the list of available summons makes what's already one of the most powerful spells that much stronger- don't expect your DM to just let you access expanded summons.

You shouldn’t expect to get expanded summons for free. It’s related to a feat that also gates how many of them you get per level.

The deity options are the easiest to get, but also only offer a handful of additions that skip levels.
