Ok, the results of my well intentioned but amateurish survey are as complete as Survey Monkey is going to allow without paying for more than 100 results. Next time I'll use a Google Form.
Here are the results of the first 100 respondents.
There are only two points I will comment on. The rest you can draw your own conclusions about given the limited sample size and dodgy format:
Q1. Does Resonance make the game more fun?
( Yes - 35%, No - 65%)
If I were designing a game feature, I would pay attention to this one. A significant number of respondents said Yes. However, most people could not say Yes whether that was through dislike or indifference. That should be a red flag to the designers for the feature in its current form. If a new feature does not make the game more fun, it should be re-evaluated. Game priority #1 is to have fun after all.
Q5. What do you think of magic items?
( 82% of respondents liked or loved magic items )
My angle again here is fun. Players love magic items. This isn't groundbreaking new research, but it is a good reminder of one of the reasons why the game is so fun. It's also a reflection point. If you take magic items in a new direction, it has the potential to significantly impact fun for better or worse.
That's all for me.

Assuming it's here to stay... let's look at question 3. We can't do much with 'other' or 'remove it' options. Of the remaining respondants, 83% felt it was being used in too many places (either drop consumables or actives). Most of those (66% of usable responses) didn't want it on consumables.
I think most people are fine with resonance as a magic item slot limit, as outlined in Jason's recent youtube video. People just don't like the way it got co-opted into killing CLW wands and potions, which were a symptom of a too-short adventuring day and not really a problem themselves.

Potions. Take it off those and most of my issues evaporate. Were potions ever really a problem? This includes elixirs and mutagens and other one-and-done items.
For wands? I'm actually alright with it there. For staves? Sure. For basically anything but potions, which are already, economically speaking, horrible. Give them a purpose. Let them always work. Then having a spare potion is a really good idea. Out of resonance? Chug the potion.
