Personal Suggestion: Update & Feedback Blogs

General Discussion

So far PF2e has been... well, divisive, and a lot of people are very passionate about it and making sure PF2e can be the best and most enjoyable game possible- even though for some people that can mean very different things. But something that seems to universally concern people?

Communication. Fear that they aren't being heard, worry that we'll go months with almost total radio silence, and frustration at whether or not they feel their opinion is valid.

Given the preview class blogs did a lot to get people excited- or at least hold their interest- and generally seemed to be a big success, this personal suggestion of mine is that Paizo try and do something similar to the preview blog posts; update & feedback blog posts, telling people about the overall reception they've been getting about various aspects of the game, and what if anything Paizo intends to do in order to improve or fix things- assuming they aren't ultimately removed wholesale due to negative feedback.

Every Monday/Friday obviously wouldn't be possible; overall consensus is formed over weeks if not months, and peoples' opinions can not only vary wildly but also change or completely reverse course. But I think blog posts every few weeks, just to let people know that Paizo is indeed hearing the community and listening to what they have to say, would be a huge help in easing everyone's concerns.

It might be a bit (or a lot, I won't pretend I know) more work for Paizo staff on top of everything else, but I really do think it would mean a lot for the community.

You may have missed the staff announcement that that was already in the works

Folks, I just want to note that throughout the playtest we will be giving quite a bit more insight into our design process for this game. It's a lot easier for us to do now that it all out there to be examined. Most of this will come from blogs and through our twitch streams.

Stay tuned...

I did indeed miss that.

Oh well, can't know and track everything.
