Has the expected party-size for the playtest adventure been stated somewhere? I got my Crimson Throne party of four on stand-by for the playtest and would like to know if that's enough.
I'd be shocked if you couldn't do it with four players, simply because that's the standard group size they've been working with since forever. They might well also have it set to accommodate more, but I can't imagine four being a problem.

Well, I assume 4 players as well. But if memory serves, they changed the PFS scenarios to 6 players some time ago. At least I remember reading something like that, I don't play PFS.
I would think a precise number of players would be good for the playtest, so I'd just like to make sure I have enough in advance.

I think a good test of the system would be how easily it adjusts to the size of parties. Having easy & balanced adjustments when shifting from four to six or vice-versa would be useful for me & likely PFS too.
Some of the player adjustments in PFS scenarios are downright wonky, and the APs get awkward to adjust at times, especially around solo baddies.
A secondary aspect of adjustments would be maps. I understand some areas are meant to be constrained, or even need to be for verisimilitude, but when there's supposed to be a big brawl, it'd be nice to have space for larger parties and their beefed up foes.

We would like to provide an experience in the game system that makes it as easy as possible for you to run the game and scale encounters based on the number of characters (with the caveat that for particularly tiny groups of characters, it gets more difficult in any party-based game because you start losing the ability to cover all bases, as well as losing a larger percentage of group functionality when one character is out of the fight). For the parts of the playtest where we absolutely need a stress-test based on exact number of characters and all variables tightly controlled, we'll be sure to let you know how to scale based on several numbers of characters so you can still bring your whole group.

I'll let my players know. And if any of them die because they don't have a tank, I'll blame you. :P
