At least, I'm pretty sure it's an upgrade.
I was typing out a long post, then accidentally did that hideous brush across the screen - taking me to community guidelines or something. I cursed....hit the back button....and discovered all my old post, still sitting there half-typed.
Whoever fixed that deserves a whopping hug, handshake or hearty congratulations (whichever they prefer). I can't count the number of times I've accidentally navigated away from a page and then had to retype some long, rambling post.
Little things like this are hard to remember as features but really make a huge difference. Thanks to all concerned. :)

Orthos has mentioned previously here on the boards that there is a browser extension/add-on that does this too. {searches} It's Lazarus, available for pre-Quantum versions of Firefox.
Edit: Google also suggests Form History Control and Typio.
FWIW, I type up long posts in Textpad first, then drop into the post field/box. Then if the site times out or my wifi drops unexpectedly, I still have the post text.

That sounds more like a change in the default action of your browser. Did you get updated recently?
Hmm, maybe this is a browser thing too. What do you think?
I used to be able to check who’d favourited a post, then hit back and I’d return to the post I’d checked. Now following the favourite link and hitting back takes me to the top of the page.
