Ravenloft has always interested me since I first heard of it... Might races such as the Dhampir or skinwalker be allowed? Seeing how in context they fit the setting quite well.
Mayybe.
I have to reread the adventure. I remember the basic details of the dark romance, but I don't remember Tracy and Laura writing in a harem from which the Count feeds. If you can justify a dhampire PC with an amazing background (kudos if Strahd isn't his sire), then I'll consider letting him in.

The challenge of its lethality is one of the things that made it so fun, and so memorable. :) Here's hoping you get the time and energy to fire this up. :)

Please please please please!! Ravenloft ie my absolute favourite campaign setting!! And I haven't gotten to play it except for one session. So my books are gathering dust. I am willing to bribe ;)
I also played a long campaign there back in high school and had tons of fun. Some of my best roleplaying memories.

Definitely interested. I got my copy of the new Antihero book, so am tempted to make up a Paladin or Cleric and in the likely event they fall at least they can be somewhat viable mechanically. -I wouldn't initially take anything from the book but it'd be something I'd discuss if Ravenloft broke the character. It'd be easy to play an immoral scum bag in Ravenloft, a good character will suffer.
Will you be making use of some of the alternate rules in the Horror Adventures book? Namely insanity and the corruption rules. I know I just spoke of possibly making a paladin and I'm pointing at the rules that nerf their fear immunity.

As far as I know, Gothic Horror is something of stark contrasts. I watched enough Gothic Horror to know that in Ravenloft, Count Strahd von Zarovich takes center stage. That's why you have to play him intelligently. He runs from combat, tries to transform a player character into a vampire, and pines for his lost love Tatyana. The PCs react to Count Strahd up until they get the Sunsword.
I can set up your paladin to fall. But I loathe to do that. In horror, you need a light to shine against the darkness for as long as possible. Darkness does not comprehend the light. Also in horror, human failings is also taken into account. >sigh< We'll see about your fallen paladin.

Bribe? In what way?

Tortured Crusader Paladin Archetype
I think it's a really cool and one of the more flavorful archetypes.

I see. (Yes I have a copy of Horror Adventures.)
