I'm redoing my elf druid from scratch and I need to pick a deity. My druid is Chaotic Good, but I can change it to Neutral if I need to. I also need to pick a deity for my halfling hunter. Ketephys is a hunting god, but he's an elven gold so I'm not sure if it'll work for my hunter. Does it matter that much?

Ask your GM if he will allow none neutral Druids.
Alignment: Any neutral
Check out the Green Faith or Gozreh for a druid deity...or just don't worship one.
A deity for hunter is pretty much whatever you want..or just don't worship them. Is there a reason these characters need a deity?

Any detail in mind about the characters besides alignment, race, and class? That's a basis to start thinking from, yeah, but even a divine caster can choose their faith for a reason fairly distinct from more obvious inclinations.
Could be a meaningful experience such as having been aided in an emergency by followers of that deity, or something they interpreted as an omen. Could simply be upbringing/cultural influence. Could be they chose based on some other aspect of their life, for example a hobby of painting leading to worshipping Shelyn.
Thinking about WHY a character might revere a certain deity in the first place is how I often end up deciding on which one.
