Liberty's Edge

Look on ebay for Mage Knight Living Elementals, Oak Mages, Oak Warriors or Wood Golems. Their bases are wide enough for a large mini and you can usually get them for $3-$6.

Also look for any cheap Groot figs

A Spirit of the Forest from the Reaper Bones line is $6.99 MSRP, and is a good looking mini.

Stop by your local supermarket and look in the children's toys section, the gardening section, or the house decor section. You might have to fudge the base a little bit.

Also: museum toy stores often have VERY interesting figurine collection. Dinosaur skeletons for a dollar? Lots of common animals. Lots of other stuff...

Maybe I need a "I misunderstood title" alias

First find your fig-bearing treant a few nice wasps for pollination (Calistrans should be pretty helpful here for multiple reasons), once you have the object, magically enlarge.

Why are you mucking around in your plant's love life, anyway?

Stonehaven makes some of the most fun minis around.

Cheapest would be using the Order of the Stick A Monster for Every Season paper minis, Spring 2012 had a treant in it.

Go to your backyard, local park, anywhere there's trees/shrubbery, find a 1-1/2" branch with some sprouts, cut to desired visual, and glue to 2" plastic base. IMO, cheapest option.
