Alright, I've done The Bold, The Beautiful and The Intellectual. No more dashing bards. Big chested sorcerers? Nope. Scrawny spell slinging intellectuals? Not this time.
It's been awhile since I've played PFS and I'm playing tonight. I want to make a character that hits hard from the first level. Hell, I probably just play him one or two times anyway. Problem is, I don't know what's cool these days. And by that I mean that I've fallen behind on new Paizo products so I'm not familiar with the combos I can use so that I can WIN THE GAME.
So please help me build a PFS front line fighter that hits hard. Anything else is secondary. Super min-max please. Mind you, I don't have any boons to use. And it has to be simple. Like me.
Disclaimer: I really hate this kind of character design concept, but for this one time and one time only I want to try it out. Perhaps I'll love it and never go back from roll-playing to roleplaying. We'll see.

Can't go wrong with Dragon Style UnMonk.
If you just wanna punch stuff, just dump the hell out of INT and CHA. Pump that STR, CON and WIS, keep moderate DEX.
Go for Weapon Focus (unarmed), Dragon Style, Dragon Fury and Power Attack in that order. Flying Kick for mobility, the usual Qinggong: Barkskin and Elemental Fury for ki powers.

The best I have is a shield champion brawler. Full disclosure, I only played this at low levels where it worked well but I never got to the massive damage. Depending on the level range of your campaign you may want to choose other options.
Basic concept is to abuse close weapon mastery and size increases. Get Monk's robes and a large sized spiked bashing shield with effortless lace as soon as possible (Maelstrom Shield if possible, spikes won't stack with bashing for damage but they qualify you for effortless lace). At 7th level you will have 4d8 base damage (1d10 base damage factoring in monk's robes with 2 size increases from bashing and 1 from being a large shield, confirm with GM on if they allow this). Take the shield trained trait and you can use you shield for all of your brawler's flurry attacks.
You can then add in the vital strike chain to maximize your single attacks.
You will also be able to throw your shield and have it ricochet off targets doing shield bash damage and return to you.
If you pick up the maelstrom shield, greater trip and vicious stomp, you get free trip attacks with every shield bash and if you trip them they will trigger 2 AOOs.

Simple Hard Hitter -
Normal Dwarven Barbarian that uses a Large Dwarven Waraxe (2D8 damage)
STR 18 (17), DEX 14 (5), CON 14+2 (5), INT 7 (-4), WIS 8+2 (-2), CHA 9-2 (-1)
Anything he hits at first level should be one shorted dealing 2D8+9 raging. If you pick up Power Attack as your first feat, that's 2D8+11. Does suffer the -2 to hit modifier for using a Large weapon but who cares! You get +2 to hit from your increased strength while raging.
If you can get Enlarged - you're now dealing 3D8+12 while power attacking.

Put an 18 in Strength.
Take Power Attack.
Wield a 2 handed weapon.Attack for 2d6+9 for an average of 16 damage.
Tadaa!
Honestly my favorite way to play Swashbuckler involves exaxtly that. Plus you can afford a pretty good point buy if you dump Cha to 7 and use a feat (you'll have plenty to spare without that Finesse nonsense) to get Extra Panache.

Abyssal Bloodrager makes a nice lvl1 character, crank STR/CON high. Go with a big 2h weapon (Nodachi/Falcion are great for the larger crit threat range). And in the event you have the opportunity to full attack and want to spread the damage around you can drop the 2hander and go Claw/Claw at full BAB while raging.

half-orc bloodrager Id rager anger.
at lv1 when raging you have a lucern hammer +8 to attack for 1d12+15 damage with the free power attack you get while raging.
Take tribal scars for +6 HP and I vote sloth jaw for the will bonus, putting HP to 19 base.
You also have free skill focus survival so you're good at that skill.
With fates favored your saves are 6/3/4, and raging are 8/2/6
stats are 20/12/14/8/12/7, raging it's 26,10,18,8,12,7
And then I worship torag for Defensive Strategist trait letting you always be able to make AoOs when people close in on you.
AC is 15, raging 12.
But this is off of the starting 150 wealth. getting masterwork weapon gives +1 to hit, and trading chainshirt for breastplate raises AC by 2.
If you progress past 1, feel free to multiclass out to any other martial class and pick up extra rage feat and you'll have all the rounds of rage you need for PFS.

Can you break down those saving throws at level 1? I seem to be missing something. Con 18, 10 dex and 12 will, add +2 will due to rage effect. Thats +6 fort (2 class bonus), +0 dex and +3 will. Fates favored is on luck bonusses, not morale bonusses and also only adds+1?

The half orc with sacred tattoo gives +1 luck to all saves coupled with fate's favored makes it +2 to all saves.
And sloth jaw tribal scares feats gives +1 to will save.
To continue getting damage(and accuracy) for the least investment,
1 level of medium (warrior spirit) gives 3 damage, and opens up a feat to give +1 attack and damage, so WF and half of WS. Yes you don't get a bab, but the damage you gain is worth the delay of power attack.
Then the way to get most consistent damage at this point is to finish off as Arsenal chaplain WP. Sure paladin and cavaliers can maybe get more when smiting. But WP is lots of bonuses all the time available and as swift actions.

Thanks for all the great info! I made a dwarf Bloodrager. He did as planned, hit hard with his greatsword. Maybe I'll give him a class of UMonk next, equip him with a reach weapon and so on.
He was actually quite fun to play, mainly because I didn't have to be the party face. Playing a character that's a bit dumb was a refreshing change.

Next time: Tengu Bloodrager with elemental bloodline and claws as alternate racial trait.
Stats: 18 12+2 14-2 10 10+2 7 (18 14+2 16-2 7 7+2 7 if you really want to go savage).
Traits: +1 to damage when fighting alone/flanking (your choice), any other.
Feat: Power Attack.
Bloodline lets you add +1d6 elemental damage for 3 rounds per day.
With a full attack beak/claw/claw (all performed at full BAB) you can reach damage peaks of ~44. At level ONE.
When you can't full attack just wield a big 2H weapon and charge (then drop the weapon and full attack on the next round).

A swashbuckler does at best 1d6+5 damage at level 1. (20 dex & fencing grace)
A gunslinger does at best 1d12+3 damage(PBS & Deadly Aim)
A brawler does at best 1d6+7 damage (20str+power attack)
Unmonk does 1d6+7*2(flurry + 20str + PA)
The only one that wouldn't be better off at level 1 with a strength score and a greatsword would be the unmonk, and even that one should probably be wielding a sevenbranched sword in two hands instead of going it unarmed.
You joke, but it's true.
