In Spanish they translated it as "Reena and Gaudy". I think they should have kept it as just "Slayers". There were also a few more awkward translations.
Dragon Slave was something that can be translated as "dragonslayer". Not the same.

Yeah very very different meanings.

Today I baked some cookies (a lot of them) to take to the job, as it is going to be my birthday.
I made 4 classes (all with the same dough): chocolate, cinnamon, raisins and cranberries.
I must be insane. I was about to die with the heat of the oven! No more cooking cookies on summer!

No like Cookie! Cookie no like you!

It is on Tuesday. And I never celebrated it a lot. Thanks to both!

Np, hope you have a good day at work and a good birthday come Tuesday ^w^

Happy birthday!

Don't do anything I would do!

Which includes the following

- Getting falsely accused for a crime because you happen to be walking home when the alarm goes off.

- Your girlfriend ditches you at a party to sleep with your best friend.

- You get sick on your first birthday party and everyone eats your birthday cake while you're asleep in front of the t.v. with a fever.

- It snows the next year on your make up birthday party (despite it being August), the last birthday party you'll ever have.

Go to Great America with a hangover from drinking 20 beers the night before.

Wake up in a house full of deaf people you don't know in a town 100 miles away after a night of drinking Zima.

Getting your first bike, a huge green Schwinn with tiny, tiny training wheels, and then skinning your knee riding it, thus having to get it home by yourself by walking it a mile, uphill and through the stream.

And that's just what I remember before my morning coffee!

Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday, Kileanna. :)

Thanks to both of you too!

Cap, did you hurt your eyebrow because it was your birthday or were you just training for your next one?

My birthday is in August.

Due to my habit of quick decision making coupled with a weakness for physical comedy I'm more injury prone then your average nerd. :-)

We are twin souls then xD

I don't train for my birthday, they just sort of attack me.

The last couple years i've sequestered myself in my office (the pantry) turned off my ringer, kept my internet on FaWtL, loaded it up with my It's Always Sunny DVDs and pathfinder books and only allowed my immediate family entry.

Probably some of the best birthdays I've ever had. :-)

Certainly better than when our dog was infested with fleas. I had to waterboard the dog, broke the vacuum cleaner vacuuming bonemeal off the carpet, threw out all our upholstered furniture, encased every mattress in plastic, stabbed my arm with a collapsing bookshelf and then had the cops stop by at ten minutes to eleven to tell us a twice convicted child molester is moving in two doors down.

And that was my worst birthday ever.

That's also why I omit insect swarms from every adventure path I run.

My worst birthday was two years ago.
It was Saturday, RPG day. Stupid player appeared, spent all time being an awful person to his girlfriend, not allowing other players to do anything as he stole all the spotlight thanks to an inexperienced GM. I spent all the afternoon just watching without being able to say anything.
This guy, instead of addressing me, talked to Dalindra, while ignoring me, as he thought I was an extension of him instead of an independent person.
He made me really uncomfortable.
He also ate most of the cookies I had baked for the whole group, and didn't even say happy birthday to me.
I was going through the hardest moments of my life at that time and having such a crappy birthday really affected me.
When I got out of my friend's house I cried for almost an hour and then I went home to sleep. I just wanted the next day to come.

I live better times now, though.

Break any mirrors that day? any black cats crossed your path? denied loans or credit to strange elderly women?

Sure sounds like something like that, had happened, during that particular day ^^.

Just a typical birthday.

That wasn't even my worst birthday ever. :-)

Not really looking forward to my next birthday this coming October. I'll probably be sick from chemo.

Hopefully the one after that makes up for it. :-)

I hope so, too.

So glad *someone* in this thread is taking showers!

I don't post about routine events.

A lot of us post when we're going to sleep for the night, and then again when we wake up in the morning. Many of us also post when we eat meals, and do certain chores and leave the house for various errands. We also post when we leave for work, when we end our work day, and when we return home.

But I've never seen a shower post before.

I usually wish people a Good Night and a Good Morning. I also post important events like the Tekko meeting that I'm currently at. Other than that, I'm pretty silent about day-to-day routine stuff.

One of the best things about this thread is the 'behind the curtains' glimpses into everyone's routine activity.

It's the only thread I know of where that kind of post is on-topic.

Hey now, despite the cliche of hippies being dirty, I shower daily and manscape frequently.

Of course, I also haven't smoked in twenty years or more and consider physical labor "fun" :-)

Uh oh, what have I unleashed?

Manscaping?? Please, no pics

I am peeing right now. I bet you didn't want to know that.

Not really.

I'll have you know I took one this morning. Under duress, but I took one.

I've been bathing on my own sweat these last days if that counts xD

My air conditioner has been acting wonky, so sometimes it's hot, sometimes it's cool, and sometimes it never shuts off. My next power bill is going to be redonkulous.

The air in the hospital is awful. I always end with a sore throat.
At home I don't have air because it's kinda fresh.

Well I don't shower at all ^.^

I have this annoying habit of passing out in the shower. I do however take regular baths, so it's not as bad as it sounds at first :P

Yeah, we had a similar problem with the AC unit in the master bedroom. It had three settings at the end: won't turn on no matter what, on but blowing hot air into the room and won't turn off, and arctic blast. These would alternate at random regardless of how we set the controls. Thankfully the apartment complex replaced the unit for us.

Edit: have you cleaned the filter recently? Sometimes AC units can get wonky when the filter is clogged. Sometimes you just need a new one. But it's usually at least worth trying the filter first

I loved to have long baths as a child until my skin wrinkled. But I lost the habit and now I just take showers.
Sometimes I take them on the hospital changing rooms so I don't have to do the cleaning! Lazy me!

I'm home. Brought home an assortment of Pizza slices. There were: 4 Vegetarian, 2 BBQ chicken, and 6 Pepperoni and Sausage. The Official Attendance for this year's Tekko was 8,100. There's talk of using even more of the Convention Center next year. Which is fitting since we're working on getting 5 voice actors to show. The three that I recall are Travis Wilmingham, Brina Palencia, and Cherami Leigh. Travis' wife will come ( I forgot her name ) and maybe Monica Rial.

How do you rank BBQ Chicken on pizza? High, low, meh?

It's okay, as long as it's not drowning in sauce. I'd like to be able to taste the rest of the pizza.

It's almost 10 PM here in Pittsburgh. Good night, everyone.

I recently replaced the filter, though as soon as I can get to the hardware store I'll get a new one just in case that's part of the problem.

This is why its always good to keep a good sturdy blunt object close to you when you are DMing. Bludgeoning gets people back in line fast.

I carry my bag so full of useless stuff that at this time it must already count as it had a +5 enhancement bonus.

In this case the GM was very inexperienced and also a very insecure person who was easy to take advantage of (he was also the Fire Wizard from some stories that I have already told on other threads). Dalindra and I tried to provide some advice to deal with this guy (Dal had already GMed for him and managed to keep him controlled, though he ended removing his PC from the story). But the GM ended letting this guy manipulate him. He looked desperate, as he realized he was falling to all his tricks but didn't know what to do.

It ended being the most frustrating RPing experience I had.
